You know until more lore dropped in the show, those flowers always made me think the plot twist was that they lived in a fish tank and that was the wallpaper.

Overthinking: the movie

"Secret Room" THOSE ARE MEANT TO BE CLOUDS of the show

Stephen hillenburg will forever be a legend

Maybe it was not intended to be something specifically. He clearly mixed real marine biology with humor and feel. The flowers probably are intended to just be a Hawaii shirt motive.

Holy cow I wasted 13 minutes to hear “we don’t know”🤣🤣

It’s aesthetic, nothing more

“No Pictures” is a Tidal Zone episode.

10:34 The conspiracy theory is that the flower clouds are oil spills on the surface of the ocean

I love how the flowers look very similar to a Sand Dollar. I noticed it as a kid but this video had a better idea. Love this.

1:30 the rock is totally from underwater

So, technically, I was correct in always assuming that they were just decorative and minimal depictions of coral seeing as these things do exist with, and around, coral reefs.

The flowers could be oobleck. Whenever it sits it is spft but stays but when used with force is becomes tough like a solid material

Well in the sandy cheeks movie, it shows the flowers are probably many small marine organisms that forged together into a flower shape

It’s 5 am, I need to sleep. My curiosity defeats me

some theorists also thought those were “mutated jellyfish”

sand dollar....

I always just thought it was the esthetic of the show and they were reminiscent of anti-slip stickers from the 50s, 60s and 70s bathtubs to keep you from slipping.

3:44 it’s appears in one of the Patrick stars show episodes

I like that so many people tried to solve theories in cartoons when they’re just cartoons so they don’t even need an explanation that just shows the theorists can solve anything. And I also love theorists and also R.I.P. Matpat 😔
