Several years ago we dissected a Gen 3 Hemi in anticipation of building one for a project.
While the build never happened, we discovered some oddities in the engines basic design that would explain why these engine were so prone to catastrophic cam and lifter failures.
Now, six years later, the channel Hemi Garage Hacks has built a test mule to check oil circulation through the engine and in the process confirmed the conclusions we had come to with our engine.
