Old Glory doesn't fly in the wind. Instead she floats on the last breath of those who died defending her.

It's still in our blood, passed down through generations, the flag DOES NOT touch the ground. We will fight for it, and we will die for it.

Now you understand why we don’t let our flag touch the ground ever. Thank you for your respect for our flag!

This is why Americans are so protective and proud of our flag. We never let it touch the ground in honor of our fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives for our freedoms. The Star Spangled Banner is an eye witness account of the bravery of the American people. Never Forget!

Those men that held up the flag should be posthumously awarded the medal of Honor.

I'm the daughter of a US Navy fighter pilot (27 years service to our country). I was raised to honor what our flag represents and the sacrifices made by generations of Americans to keep us free. I am saddened that our young people in the US don't know our history, how fragile freedom is, and that our Declaration of Independence and Constitution make us like no other country on earth.

Now you know why we're very particular about how our flag is treated.

All these years later, we will still die on our feet before we live on our knees. We bow to nobody.

I always get goosebumps when i hear this song. I understand the sacrifices made for us.

This flag is still on display at the national museum in DC
