Sorry, I was a bit quiet this video but I was so in to the video and didn't want to interrupt in the national song

This is why our flag is never to touch the ground

This is why most Americans are taught to NEVER let the flag touch the ground. Because of those patriots and the millions of American soldiers who came after them.

Old Glory doesn't fly in the wind, instead she floats on the last breath of those who died defending her.

For our flag to touch the ground, meant surrender. That's why to this day, the flag is never to touch the ground. Never surrender, respect the flag.

even after 250 years, American's hold to the idea, you never let the flag touch the ground.

It's not just the military, it's the American mentality that is our biggest strength. For the most part, we have a kind of team spirit.

Seeing that Flag in the Smithsonian is UNREAL. This is why the flag should never touch the ground. This is also why I will fly Old Glory till the day I die.

Every 4th of July we stand in memory of those that helped us develop our nation.

My Pastor once told me that the Lord's Prayer is the hardest prayer one can say. I was confused and wanted an explanation. He asked me when I learned the Lord's Prayer. I said about age 6 or 7. I was required to memorize it. Then he asked me what the prayer said. I started reciting it. He immediately stopped me. He said he didn't want to hear it verbatim, he wanted to know WHAT IT SAID. I had no answer. Then he went through it line by line with me and broke down what it really MEANT. That was eye opening. The Star Spangled Banner is very similar, at least in my experience

That flag has alot of meaning in our family too---my parents came to the States, learned the language, my dad worked 2 jobs to give us a better life, all the while that flag hung outside our house-now me and my brother have our own houses and first thing we did was put our flags up!

If memory serves me correctly, I believe this was during the War of 1812. 🤔
🇺🇸

I'm an American and I cry during the National Anthem every time. God Almighty created this nation, and we will fight to keep it! 🇺🇸

I can't watch this without weeping.

As an American Patriot, I will die on my feet before I live on my knees.  Now you understand after seeing this video exactly why Americans are a proud people.  We FOUGHT for our freedoms, alone without the help of any other country or people.  WE ARE THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.   The FAFO Country.

We are proud of our flag, and our freedom which is why we will fight, other countries, politicians, and corruption at home. We fought to hard for our freedom. It will take only one generation to lose it if we don't fight daily to keep it. Our flag represents that hard fought freedom, which is why we fly it proudly.

This was war of 1812 so they weren’t colonists they were their own nation already and had been for 30 some odd years.

:hand-purple-blue-peace:❤😎My Dad was first generation German Immigrant  my Mom was Lakota Native American

This is why we should always stand for our National Anthem.  And why the flag must never touch the ground.

Freedom isn’t free. It’s priceless
