I first learned chess when I was seven years old. That was 1962. But I've never been exceptional at it. Even so, I could enjoy a game of chess over any computer game.

He said, "fianchettoed bishop" at 0:27 seconds. I had to look that one up. Not new or any good at chess, but I never learned the vocabulary to a great extent. But that is why I am here. :)

Yes. Great advice. But it depends on the position. Your opponent wants to trade, say, dark squared bishops. Okay. It means they see potential from the trade. You also have potential from the trade. That trade could also leaves dark square weaknesses in your opponent's position. It's all a  "quid pro quo, Mr. Powers"   proposition.
