Lublin in winter is dead city. But come here in may, vibe is great and a lot of people is out. Now the streets are empty, everyone is watching tv and waiting for the sun 🙃

Dude, you go to Lublin for city festivals like "Inne Brzmienia" or "Carnaval Sztukmistrzów" . Not only are these really cool events (and usually free), but the city looks much cozier in the summer.

I must say, Lublin is a lot better to experience during the summer season and looks completely different during the early nighttime hours.

I lived in London, Cambridge, Wroclaw, Poznan and now Lublin. BY FAR the best city I lived in so far. So easy to live here! During summer the city is wild alive. And so much to do. Every weekend there is something big going on :)

you should visit Zamość, the vibe is kinda unlike everywhere in Poland, because it’s a smaller, but it’s extremely pretty and it’s even on UNESCO

Next time you absolutely have to visit Lublin in spring or summer — and preferably with a Polish guide who actually knows the city and all its hidden little gems. 😉
Not every building is renovated yet, and there’s a reason for that. Quite a few properties still have unresolved legal status, and in those cases the city simply can’t carry out restoration work.
But here’s the funny thing: many tourists end up calling Lublin one of Poland’s hidden gems. And they usually come not only for the Old Town, but also for festivals like Inne Brzmienia, Carnaval Sztukmistrzów, or the international theatre festival — when the whole city turns into one big cultural playground. So the number of tourists coming here would actually surprise you. 😁😅
And then there’s LSM — a district with a surprisingly fascinating architectural history. Honestly, there are tons of places there worth exploring.
So yes… Lublin may look a little rough around the edges in some spots. Especially if you are coming here during the calmest time.
But if you know where to look, it’s a city full of stories. And perfect for a family life also!
It was great living there and I do miss it a little. 😁😅

If you want to see more nature, try the "North Pole of Poland" also known as Suwalszczyzna (the place between Belarus and Kaliningrad).

I was in Lublin with my family last weekend for the first time in my life and I had similar feelings like you. I come from Poznan so this felt completely different but I liked it. We dove deeper and for 3 full days we were totally busy. I have a feeling in the summer the vibe could be way smoother than now at the end of winter. Cheers

Lubin should be compared to cities of its population level, e.g. Bydgoszcz.Although, as far as I remember, Bydgoszcz had as many as 400,000 inhabitants, Lublin never reached that number.generally, Eastern Poland has better villages.Lublin is only now beginning to develop and investments are starting to take place. It is known that this is Eastern Poland, near the border with Belarus, therefore there are few trade contacts. Comparison to Poznań, which was the most important city in history and now is inadequate. Poznań, Krakow and Warsaw were home to the wealthiest and nobility.

My hometown! It's true that it's better in the summer, but the weather is still great for March.  Congrats on approaching 100k subs!

Ochhh, guys, you have to come in the summer! The vibe is totally different and you experience the city on a whole new level. It also depends on what you're looking for, because Lublin has a lot of history. If you're interested in that, you should find someone who can guide you and give you the right context. I truly love this city — I’ve lived here for so many years and it has changed so much. Knowing a bit more about its past really gives you a different perspective. Please come back in the summer, it will be a completely different experience 😉

Highly recommend Ustka! It’s not a huge city, but it’s on the coast line and have this uniqueness (also Swołowo and Kluki are nearby, the villages where you can feel the north vibe), or if you prefer mountains I would recommend you whole Region of Kłodzko, with beautiful small towns and castles all around the land!

I kind of feel similar, there are many not nice places just near renovated ones. It was for a long time like Łódź, very forgotten but now it is getting nicer and nicer. Still it is considered less developer because this ortodonta of Poland was much poorer for a long time as it is rural. But Lublin has some great universities.  If you go to Lublin you should go between May and September and visit places nearby like Kazimierz nad Wisłą, small but old and considered folk and artistic, for older people Nałęczów, for children the amusement park with big carrot near Janowiec. If you like parks also Puławy Czartoryski's Park but beside this there is nothing to do in there except looking at Azoty fabric. Most of this city is typically comunistic architecture with the same block of flats.

Finally Lublin, thanks!

You absolutely must see Kalisz, Chełmno, and Zielona Góra. These cities boast beautiful architecture and unique history, yet they are less crowded with tourists. Best regards!

Cool vlog. I've visited the town back in 2018. If there is one must see spot in Lublin it is Majdanek concentration camp, the best-preserved camp that makes the horrors of the best really visable. But not the type of visit that will cheer you up.

Hey, I'm from Lublin ! But I live in the USA right now, for the last 38 years.

Visit Bielsko-Biała, known as Little Vienna, surrounded by mountains. Beautiful architecture, Sułkowski Castle, the modern Cavatina concert hall, cartoon character statues, and a piece of Fiat's Italian restaurant heritage.

You need to come to Częstochowa!
