18:20 Still highly recommend Ryan gets "Matschhosen" for his kids to play in the mud 😂

4:19 first error (and it's one often made) in this video: Nördlingen is not round because of the meteor! That's just because the town still has its medieval wall (and that's something special as well). The crater of the meteor called "Nördlinger Ries" is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay bigger, it's about 348 km².

Lots of phrases AI loves to use and one of the standard AI voices. Ofc it's AI

One "Hallig", many "Halligen". It's not the name of an island or a group of islands; it's a special type of islands in the North Sea.

12:57 Free movement rights within Schengen area also applies to the wolfs!

I've been living in Germany for 44 years, and even I didn't know all the facts :) Cool video

13:51 it's AI bro the voice has been changing the whole damn time

13:31 i love that the Animals are returning to Germany ❤

Nördlingen has a circle shaped old town, 800m wide, not 25km. It is located a little west inside the impact crater which is 25 km wide. You can't see the crater walls easily on a satellite image. What you can see is the different agricultural surface. While the crater inside has mostly crop fields, the crater wall is forrested. The reason the old town is circle shaped is not because of the crater, but that's a shape with the most area and the least circumference. So the shape is caused by the city wall that fully remains until today. And from the bell tower of the church you can see the former crater walls. Anyway, it's worth a visit for sure.

Regarding Brocken. There was a guy climbing this little mountain litereally every single day. He's passed away now. His name was Brocken-Benno.

Another fun fact: In Mecklenburg Vorpommern lives a free roaming herd of american rhea (ger. Nandu). These Emu/Ostrich like birds originally came from south america. However they escaped and now thrive as wild animals in Germany.

Highest mountain in the mountain range Harz:
Not “BRO-ken” like “broken”. (as the narrator said it)
It’s “BROCK-en” — short O, hard K. "Brocken“ rhymes roughly with “rockin’”.

This gave me goosebumps in several parts at how beautiful my home country is. Thank you for your interest in Germany! And also, you are right, you can't think about politics and conflict all the time.

6:50 Free Climbing = security rope but nothing else ... while Free Solo = no equipment, not even a safety line, as far as i know

Fun fact: Those coal bucket wheel excavators are some of the largest and heaviest land moving machines on earth weighing in at over 12000 tons and capable of moving 250000 tons of coal and dirt in a day, thats 100 filled trains.

06:17 The Rhine Rift Valley is the warmest region in Germany. Side fact: Saxony doesn`t really exist. The Saxons settled in the north of Germany, now Lower Saxony. The King of the Saxons bought the little area and named it after his tribe.

I have visited Nördlingen and it's really stunning to look from the tower in the middle. It also has the "Dampftage" (steam days), where a lot of steam locos get reactivated.

Wow, learned some new stuff today. Funny how I as a german, watching an american watch a video about germany keep on learning new stuff about my country. The great lakes are amazing no contesting that.

19:30 I was so confused because Germany and Austria are calling this River "Donau" we even have a dessert called "Donau welle"

The halligen are very special. There are also railways which cannot be used during high tide. The vehicles are often self-built by the inhibitants of the halligen.
