The new American dream is to leave

I was in Poland for a month, and I miss it so much! I enjoyed your videos while I was there.

I'm from Krakow and have lived in London for over a decade now, but I think about going back every single day. Your observations are so on point. The blend of Western and Eastern mindsets, homogeneous vs. heterogeneous societies, the history of imperialism versus subjugation, gender roles vs religion - all of these intangible factors play a huge role in deciding where you can truly call home. Just as you mentioned that Americans love freedom without truly knowing what it's like to lose it, living in London has made me appreciate what I once took for granted because they are so diluted and scarce here. Social cohesion, a common sense of national identity, shared values... and yes, cleanliness and safety. Boy, you really don't realise how much you need them until they're gone. Well done, Wes. I might need to get that strategy call to move back myself😎

ps.
As an example, the other day I was queuing in KFC in the evening, and this guy (a quasi-roadman) comes in and barges through, rushing the cashier and jumping the line. So, like a well-raised Pole appreciating order and public etiquette, I politely but firmly scolded him, defending the person behind the counter. And then I realised that I wasn't in Krakow but in London, and all of a sudden the prospect of being stabbed became very real. Nothing happened (he probably didn't even have a knife), but me being genuinely worried about that in the moment makes a difference in quality of living (a GDP statistic won't tell you that).

You are an unbelievable man, summarized CA’s problems in 5 min! And you are spot on!!!

I just come back from London and Brussels. What a disaster was there - traffic, homeless, crowds, high prices. I am glad to be back in Warsaw - even traffic isn’t so bad now

As a Pole, I’ve come to appreciate more and more how great Poland is to live in: safe, beautiful, four seasons, amazing food. Sometimes you only realise it after seeing a bit more of the world.

❤ 100%  BRO!

Whatever country you decide to move to, you should always learn the language, not only it’s common courtesy to your host country, but also the best way to learn the country and integrate.

I m polish who havent lived in Poland for long time and i like to watch your videos. I m visiting Poland at least once a year and i see as well ghat the country lives one of its best moments in the history.

Part of me is surprised by the winter talk, since heavy-snow winters outside mountainous regions are rare these days. Aside from last year, I would say there was only one winter in the last decade with heavy snow and deep-freezing temperatures. Most winters these days are very mild; in some cases, the temperature never dropped below zero Celsius, and I could still ride a bike comfortably in December. And even if that snow shows up, it very rarely snows for more than a few days, a week at most.

What is pretty likely these days is that winters will still be very grey, and it will rain a lot on many days, so this may be a problem.

Wes! I thought about you because I didn’t see a video from you for a while! I finally went to Hungary via mission trip and loved my time there. I had a leg up because I connected with the natives since I dedicated 2 years learning Hungarian.

I left Warsaw for Grajewo and I'm really happy.

great video:) good for you.

nice vid as always!  <3

I would love to move to Poland too. Ive been going there every year for the past 10 years to visit my wife's family..Sometimes 2-3 times a year. When i am there i feel at home and dont want to come back.

I watch Your videos and i like honesty in them. Poland and poles are not ideal like some Ytoubers show it just for views and likes. Every country have some problems and we have some as well: litering in suburps, drinking problems etc. But from my (and most of my countrymen) perspective living in Poland is much different than living in Warsaw. Different mentality in people You meet on streets, in work etc. Much better and slower. Anyway, God bless You man, if You ever be in Częstochowa give me a shout😉 i'll be more than happy to show You some polish rural experience 😜😂
