A quick little aside for the comments here...

This was streamed some time ago as a fan suggested thing, And Siv herself did not edit this vid. And this wasn't recorded for the sake of YT or anything, just chillin on stream for the most part.

I'm glad that even I had the foresight to realize a multiplayer Fallout game wasn't going to work.

Bit of an abrupt ending to the video....

Naaaah, do NOT defend the emote pack! Over priced outfits in an mmo aren't defendable either, but the emotes are especially egregious. $5 is too much for some jpegs, PLUS they're seasonal, so no one wants them outside of December anyway. The games he compared them to are not $2 steam trash either, they're AAA games and classics that weren't cheap on release. I get the sentiment, but it's super misguided in this case.

27:24 I believe that his point wasn't that microtransactions are expensive per se, but that these paid items don't really look like they cost as much as they do

27:00 its one of the worst examples of bad practices lol
18$ and not being able to even dye it is wild.

That said, example here is 24$ for just emotes, not a skin or nothing. Couple christmas emotes

You may be wondering “why did Bethesda get so greedy all of a sudden? Well, the reason for all the shenanigans is that Zenimax (Bethesda’s parent company) wanted to sell out, and needed a game to boost the shareholder price for a bigger buyout. Hence all of the overpriced corner cutting and extremely aggressive micro transactions. They had enough money for the canvas bags, but nylon is cheaper for more dividends.

I never played this cause I didn't have money at the time and it seemed to have been a blessing

This reaction was pretty bad. She didn't really give her thoughts on the things that were happening. The least you can do is watch the whole video. also Because I have no idea what point she was trying to make regarding the price discrepancy between buying skins and buying actual popular, well-made games

1:30 that's the joke

Had to give my oldest nephew back to the sea for buying the extra junk space as an example to youngest. teach you to waste money on crap games. Back to posidian with you!

That's our American polar bear, God bless

Oh, if only it was their worst blunder... But there is Starfield

15:28 Unless some miracle reborn happens with western gamedev in 30 years later noone even remember Fallout franchise. Maybe 1 and 2 as occult classic on relic ibm pc's at best.
And if prophesied in Fallout Bible events happens noone ever remember pc games at all.

I bought the 200 dollar power armor version with the helmet and I still have it 🙃

Todd's ability to shamelessly lie needs to be studied by science.

engagement comment for the algorithm

Funny as now it's a pretty decent game to play. The main problem with it now is the end game content.
