I love Perth. Thank you for showing me Perth through the eyes of an outsider…

We definitely are not anyone’s California or anything else. We are West Aussies, different in many ways even to the rest of Australia. Our isolation gives us a unique sense of independence, laid back living and fierce loyalty to being a West Australian. Often mocked by those on the east coast, we enjoy our lifestyle that has just so much to offer throughout our vast state.

Thank you for your lovely presentation of Perth and surroundings it is a gloriously beautiful city sophisticated casual elegant with a growing connection it's indigenous past.

Perth is just a tiny part of what WA has to offer with some 13,000kms of prestine coastline and is the 2nd largest "State" on the planet covering 2.53million sq/kms with lots of seriously epic places to explore and the diversity is jaw dropping for a tourist from another country especially as you don't have to deal with the crowds like most other countries

Great Vid' and very accurate  :) A bit about the west coast.  Perth has long been Australia's best-kept secret, I think its greatest quality is the length of springs and autumns/falls. In summer we have a few weeks where the heat is too much, especially in the city, and we have a pretend winter during which you really do have to put the heater on, just to take the chill off the house in the evenings; the temp can drop to 4-5-6-7 degrees C some winter nights. That said, Perth cannot be the same for everyone. The colony was established in June 1829. By the early 1830s we had the beginnings of a Jewish community, and almost 200 years later that community remains tiny, "one synagogue, and one kosher butcher" as best I know? Their problem was/is that because the pool of young people is so tiny; the youngsters go off to Melbourne or Sydney to university, and they just don't come back in sufficient numbers. Basic checks > Perth is at 32° south latitude, Tel Aviv and Tijuana are at 32° north latitude. All three cities have desert to the east, open water to the west, and very, very low humidity.
