"I don't need to pull out many nails" is such a flex

Oh wow, a hammer that works as a square, that IS awesome. Cudos to whoever designed that.

That closing statement says it all about this man.
A real craftsman, worker and a decent all round good egg.

The good thing about the cheap ones is that you can lend it to people and always get it back

during my 30 plus years on the construction sites -the carpenters that I worked with that had elbow and hand pains were because they never learned how to swing a hammer correctly . I have used my Estwing for 40 years and its still my favorite

After 27 years I have swung them all. I’m using the 14oz hickory handled stiletto but it’s not great for pulling nails. The best all rounder is the 15oz stiletto Tbone - it’s amazing and the side nail puller is priceless - if you’ve been swinging estwings forever, it feels like a feather.

9:46 - the first time I drove a nail with a hammer on a house construction site was 1978, but that bosshammer is the FIRST hammer that's ever impressed me!

Dad was a General Contractor and did everything from roofs to fine finish carpentry including building fancy furniture. He used an Estwing that I still have. He never had a problem with his elbows. On a roof his brother often helped and used a small roofing hatchet. They were masters.

I don’t have a real use for that Boss hammer, but it definitely looks like a worthwhile purchase.

When I was a kid, my dad had a leather grip Estwing hammer that I now have. I am not a carpenter, but that hammer is the one that I go to. I also have a blue handled one, but its not nearly as comfortable as the leather one. When my son started setting up a set of tools, I got him an Estwing leather grip hammer.

An Estwing is like an old reliable ford or Chevy pickup

I started with an old stacked leather handle eswing for the first 10-15 years, then I went to a titanium Dalluge with a hickory handle and never looked back. I use it for everything. When I got it I was working for a frame to finish builder. A true rarity nower days. They all used eswings, they all tried it my hammer. They all had that perplexed look I had when I tried it”it feels dead” as in there was no vibration. They all had titanium hammers of different variations when I left. The difference is undeniable.

The 14 oz wood handle Stiletto is my everyday hammer.

I can attest that the Estwing hammers are hard on hands and elbows. Used them to drive and pull 60 penny and larger nails used in pole corral building, and I have the collection of stiffs to remind me I did it. That said, the Estwing hammers are the best tool for that purpose, the newer ones have better grips that takes some of the shock out of the handle.

I've gone on to the Tbone II, and I've never looked back. The weight, force delivery, it's just better. 30 years swinging hammers, and I'm convinced

@jamesbakerbaker6763 4 months ago

As a framer and concrete finisher, I love my 20oz Estwing, I've used one for 17 years, it fits my hand great, I have control of it and it's light enough and heavy enough to do whatever you wanna do with it.

@Aretumis 1 day ago

idk why but i never thought I'd see you bust out a Boss or Stiletto

@RandomActsOfCraftness 5 months ago

15 years solids with estwings. Bought and used for 10 years the TiBone ll. I absolutely love it. I won’t trade it. My wife says she is going to bury me with it. It was expensive but well worth it. It has the mag nail set and the side claw. It was just so much nicer to swing all day. When my crew borrowed it, they didn’t want to give it back. It’s the Lamborghini of hammers without the insurance payment or gas guzzling. The nail puller from stiletto feels almost like a toy it’s so light. But the other cat claws mushroomed out and chipped and this thing took all the hits with no issues. Makes the bags feel a bit lighter too.
