if you just stayed with the 2 goons and chocobo, itd really be a "Can Jesse, James, and Me-Owth! beat final fantasy x-2"

i love how you basically get to play as a pokemon trainer

short answer: "yes"

long answer: "but how?"

I think Garik should have used the Gun Mage dressphere, since most of the Blue Bullet skills are just Rosno Rages from the first game, and considering Garik's a Ronso it only makes sense lol.

Well, I just caught the ffx-2 itch again

You know; I never thought about it; but the ATB combined with the Dresssphere system... X-2 was a precursor for 13's Paradigm battle system [and 13-3 basically goes outright back to dresspheres... and 13-2 has creature capture...]

The music of this game is on a different level. X was the same

I did this challenge using Brother, Buddy, and Yaibal. called it Final Fantasy X-2 "Boiz Nyte"

This was the first final fantasy game I've ever played and I knew I was going to fall in love with this series

Video summed up;

'can I beat the vast majority of x-2 with the flare spell'

Yes. You can.

I always felt like the garment grid and accessory system really favored the creatures more than YRP, especially since I kinda hated activating the nodes in combat every fight and usually just stayed in one dressphere for the battles

Would love to see more of the superbosses and fiend arena!!

Nice! It’s pretty late where I am so this’ll be what I’ll fall asleep to for now, but I’ll definitely catch up in the morning. Really excited for this run and how you’ll do it!

Would love to see a cyb ffx2 as the leblanc syndicate

With ng+ so you can actually use the big 3

refusing to use brother as a matter of principle is absolutely based

You can absolutely flee battles with NPCs by lowering the stars to zero and they'll flee the encounter.

Great to see someone still playing this awesome game 👍
btw: what is this garmend grid from the cocobo capture? Do you have a video on it?

Ah the intro song is so beautiful ❤ think imma reload my last save on the ps4 lol

I think an interesting run would be creatures that can only use magic or large creatures.

Cause otherwise these creature creator runs are basically themed runs. They shouldn’t differ too much in difficulty since after a certain point most creatures have similar capabilities.

But using a large creature means you only have 1 party member and using the creatures that can only use magic is another challenge since eventually physical attack just becomes all round better except against a few enemies.

And doing it on new game+ but discarding all your accessories and stuff as much as you can would probably be fine. I’m sure being able to use the ng+ creatures could make the challenge more interesting.

Either way this challenge was super awesome doing the optional content. This game is so good.

As a NPC I enjoyed this
