To be fair, Peter had every reason to crash out

Always remember mercy to tyrant is just cruelty to their future victim

I honestly have no problem Venom being Spider-Man's size. It gets kinda tiring seeing Venom as a towering hulking behemoth in nearly every Spider-Man media. Having Venom be a literal demon instead of a comic relief character seems kinda refreshing to me.

14:24 Peter ripping off the symbiote at the church is symbolic for deliverance in Christianity. I always thought that scene was amazing.

Tobey's version of Peter Parker hits hard.
Most men are raised to sacrifice and do the right thing, but once you realize that as a man you get nothing out of life being the
"Good Guy", that can turn anyone into a monster... This crash-out was a valid one.

The black suit made him a Badass! I loved this movie. This is the spiderman I wish he always was. He grew a Backbone! He finally stood up for himself. Spiderman 3 Was awesome. 😏👍

9:07 i also love how his landlord knew something was wrong with Peter. Also Peter should’ve married his daughter

Good times or bad times dont last forever so learnn from both and move on at the right time

Beyond the metaphor of alcoholism or drug addiction the symbiote represnets, it also highlights the unresolved resentment Peter has had built up since the beginning of the Raimi trilogy. In addition, the symbiote doesn’t take away from any of the themes Spider-Man 3 establishes but adds to them. It serves as not just the catalyst of Peter’s downfall (including revenge), but also sows the seeds of his eventual redemption. Symbiote aside, Peter in Spider-Man 3 is a dick - high and mighty on his own success that he’s lowkey forgetting how to be empathetic and understanding, pushing away those who humanize and anchor him when he’s stewing in his emotions, and he ends up resorting to revenge (larger scale or petty). That’s why his removal of the symbiote is both spiritual and horrifying… that the rest of the film is seeing Peter step up. Not against a bigger challenge, but in rediscovering what it means to be Spider-Man and HIMSELF…

It’s crazy how people will try to make you believe the victim of the story is wrong for lashing out at their victimizers…not random innocent people, but those that have actually wronged the victim without remorse, without consequences…all because they were indoctrinated by systems of control (i.e. religion and government) to think this way. 😵‍💫 The only time Peter was being 100% honest with himself was when the symbiote was attached to him…when he let go of all inhibitions and didn’t have to lie by pretending to be okay with everyone walking all over him…when he didn’t have to shrink himself and hold back, in order to hide the fact that he was quite literally a mentally & physically superior being. For instance, it’s very interesting how we’re overlooking the fact that Harry threw that bomb at the back of Peter’s head (in an attempt to murder him), as Peter was attempting to grant him mercy by walking away. But Peter was in the wrong for instinctually dodging it and launching it back, in a “return to sender” moment. 😒 I’ll
never consider Peter in the wrong for his actions, while bonded with the symbiote…from attempting to avenge his murdered uncle, to snapping at the landlord who relentlessly hounded him for money during one of the roughest times of Peter’s life, to defending himself against his former best friend (who had every intention of murdering him), to reflexively slapping MJ off of him (as she was physically grabbing and pulling on him outside his field of view, while he was dealing with a group of bouncers who were attempting to attack him). I’ll never believe in suppressing who you truly are and what you genuinely feel just so you can be awarded the meaningless title of “the bigger person” by those who haven’t walked a mile in your shoes. To thine own self, be true.

This movie is my favorite in the trilogy. It has the lowest lows but also the highest highs of the three. Highlights for me include Sandman's birth, the rainy church scene, the epic final fight with two best friends fighting together, Sandman’s confession, and Harry's death. It still has more soul than any modern Marvel movie.

One thing in the movie that is essential is to forgive and forget something that we all hope to achieve

19:49 best Mf movie ever made

15:48 Uh no  Harry had it coming. And in the end Peter did not activate the grenade. No shit actions have consequences 😂😂😂

I was just about to comment this on your Spider-Man 2 video. But 3 basically reflects on what you mentioned in Spider-Man 2... But instead of "moving on" it shows you how some people will break and start to lash out.

Just look at how Peter now speaks up for himself to Jameson after he gets those pics of himself as Spider-Man brutally beating up criminals with the symbiote suit. In 2, he would've just taken the low ball offer Jameson would've gave him. But in here, he demanded the promotion and even flexes to him in that scene with his own office, eating the lollipop and putting his legs up on the table 😂

Then there's the fight with Harry, unlike in 2 where he purposely allows himself to get slapped twice by him. He had enough trying to convince him that he didn't kill Norman. Taunts Harry and then scars him by tossing the bomb back to him.

Then he gives the middle finger to MJ by purposely dancing with Gwen, after all those times she left him and after seeing her with Harry. It was until he slapped her when he started to feel guilt

I can relate to this whole video. I struggle with resentment. I am mad about everything.

Maybe I'm alone with this but i think this movie handled revenge and forgiveness much better than last of us 2. I'm still thinking about this movie after all these years.

Bully Maguire Strikes

Im glad the video acknowledges that Peter wasnt some perfect snowflake in the beginning
