"her punk/emo/goth look"
narrator: it was none of those things

I truly can't understand how she's remained relevant over all these years. Most of the younger generation have no clue what Dance Moms was

The worst part for me is the fact Jojo herself is claiming in posts that she was forced to come out as lesbian, when as you said yourself that not too long ago it was COMPLETELY the opposite. So I’m not surprised that the queer community feels like she’s turning on them

I'll stop dead-naming Elon's website when he stops dead-naming his kid.

Going from far left to far right, as soon as you reputation is hitting rock bottom, is a pipeline, that needs to be studied.

8:34 you missed an opportunity to say "she was a bad girl, she did some bad things"

I mean, I guess there is no other option but to rebrand when she made being the first letter of LGBTQIA+ her ENTIRE personality to the point where she claimed to be the creator “gaypop” only to then cheat on her partner on LIVE TV with a MAN.

Also I feel like she’s seeing the success of Sabrina Carpenters aesthetic and is like “that one. I want that one, mummy.”

Would it be okay if you moved the mic lower so I can read your lips? I am deaf and rely on lip reading. Subtitles don't suffice it. I'd really appreciate it!

All I can say is I think Jojo's trying to pull off "Billie Eilish" rebranding and she's failing miserably...

Jojo seems like a young person that was never given the space and privacy to discover themselves. She has been treated like a product all her life (by those close to her ). I think we know more about who jojo is than she does. That being said, my ears will never forgive

Kim Carnes is iconic and her version of Bette Davis Eyes is a touchstone, but worth noting that her version isn't actually the original - it was first released as a very different sounding song by Jackie DeShannon in 1971.

Edited for clarity

Slight correction: Miley Cyrus went through her controversial rebrand, not to remain relevant (she was at the height of Disney fame), but because she turned 18 and wanted (needed) to put as much distance as possible between her squeaky clean Disney image and her adult self, and even more so, to distance herself from a corporation that overworked and underpaid her for YEARS.

Jojo, on the other hand, waited till she was 21 and losing relevance to rebrand.

It’s like she’s copying Billie Elisha and the “What what’s I made for?” Barbie era… but, unlike Billie,i don’t feel like it suits her… whenever she rebrands, she isn’t smooth about it… instead of dipping her toes in and gradually getting deeper while still being her authentic self, she nosedives into the deep end and changes her whole personality lol

17:55 just fyi the original Singer of Betty Davis eyes isn’t Kim carnes she just popularised it. The actual original singer is Jackie DeShannon. And she doesn’t have a raspy voice

Would be really funny if Jojo came out as a trans man and changed his name to Joseph Josiah Siwa and started going by Joe Joe Siwa

The thing that annoys me with JoJo is that her rebrands don't come across as an artist exploring new avenues or experimenting with their style. It's instead giving throwing everything at the wall and seeing what sticks in terms of staying relevant and she needs to realise that this isn't the 2010s anymore. Everything she's doing has been done already by people who are much better at it than she is.

to counter any “another jojo video” comments you said you get, you’re the only content creator I’ve seen that consistently and throughly covers Jojo’s controversies!!! esp w her dance group I think it’s so important that becomes more known
