you can hear the shouts "here it comes", a foot high stream coming down the road and it doesn't stop for anyone. Within an hour, it's 4 ft high, flowing through most of the homes
that are at road level. In 2022, the Super Typhoon caused it to be 6 ft high, the highest we've seen. We help our community, moving the Fridge or other high valued items.
We use our home as a safe haven for those in need. We have plenty of space, food, clean water, towels and blankets. It's the right thing to do in our Barangay that we love.

In my second experience in the Philippines, when we were looking to buy our first property, we were taken to a mountainous area where the trees had been cut down. There were no retaining walls or drainage systems to relieve the pressure from the soil’s water tension. Later, I learned that there had been a landslide in that same area. It seems that you train the engineers and they tend to go over seas after they qualify and when they come back its like what they have been taught overseas they forget when they land in the philppines.
I enjoy the way you keep it informative, yet fun.
