Each week I send a short email with a few things I've learned and noticed about life in the Philippines, the small moments that stuck, and the kind of thoughts I can't always fit into a video. Easy to read over coffee, and hopefully good for a smile too.

Nuvali is an awesome, master planned community. It is the next Makati, or so I've heard. And it's growing like crazy. Planning to build a house nearby with my asawa soon. Great video!

Agree! It is easier to build from scratch.

I love Nuvali, I spend a lot of time there, and as you say, it feels completely different from Manila. I'm lucky to be about 40mins drive by SLEX.

We bought a double lot in a subdivision in southern Cavite, about 20 minutes outside Tagaytay. A toll highway entrance is scheduled to open 3 km away. Nuvali takes 55 minutes now, but avoiding Silang should drop it to 35 or 40. This way, we get more land and a detached house for much less money than in Nuvali itself.

Man, you forgot to mention Lipa city Batangas... provincial vibes, big-city ease of living...

I hope Nuvali would have a commuter friendly access to NSCR Sta. Rosa station. As long as there is no mass transit in Nuvali, it would still be a place for the affluent.

Nuvali is perfect for those who have Kids. Highly rated private schools are already there.

Clark, NCC, Subic, Alabang, Nuvali are the well planned cities in the Philippines.

Yes, I like Nuvali… especially Meadow Crest Federal, close to De La Salle University and within Barangay Malamig; it means a cool area 😎. It is a cool area 😎.

Clark is also that third kind of place.

Make an amazing suburb all you want, you can't hide the heat and humidity. They should focus on high end indoor sport complex to keep people moving.

Nuvali have anything like the Azure Urban Resort with a big Wave Pool, plus four other pools?
Next to SM City Bicutan, looks to be about 30 minutes drive with no traffic.

Great video John! This year I purchased in the Nuvali Amaia Series 3/2 townhouse 65sqm, with parking for 4.7m and they have plenty still available. Actually found it through YouTubers Jireh Mamaclay and Gion Reyes. Planning to shoot video of interior when done furnishing. Nuvali is everything as you described. I love the wide open spaces, wide streets and the all the stores and the new SM Nuvali set to open Nov 27, 2026. Its 43 minutes to my other home in Tagaytay near Picnic Grove and like you said, 1 hour pending on traffic to BGC where I like to get Airbnb once a month to enjoy the city. I know you are going to buy a home there and I can't wait for that video. Ok brother, when I see you in the neighborhood, coffee on me. We met before in uptown mall market BGC. Keep up the great work! 🙂
