“7th grade hit like a freight train”……. Yeahhhh pretty much lol.

Watching all these retrospectives just remind me to the failed potential Girls Meets World had. It should have been an ABC Family show instead of Disney Channel with the garish colors and teeny bopper writting.

Eighteen years after Lee Norris was dropped from BMW, there was an interview with the cast of “One Tree Hill” which aired two days before the series finale.  Lee said “shit.”  I said, “OMG, I’m telling Mr. Feeny!”  The curse of being typecast, which is ironic because he left BMW after just one season and was on OTH for the entire nine seasons.

The dynamic between Mr. Feeney and Mr. Turner was excellent. The old school teacher meets nude school teacher approach. Both had their strengths and both have their flaws and in the end, they both learned from each other

I started hating Shawn when he developed that "poor me" attitude like at :38

I prefer the second season over 1 and how the show progressed into college way more. I think even as a kid I enjoyed those more.

I would have LOVED a pretty, well mannered, girl like Wendy committing so hard to a relationship with me in High School. Or my bullies little sister fawning all over me like TK. For him to be turned off by them…i dont know. Was that healthy? Were the girls being too clingy? I cant make up my mind

Awesome video, my friend. I love it. I look forward to season 3, let me know when it comes out. I loved this season. 2 and 3 are my faves, then 4, then 1

I liked this season as much as season 1…. This came out during my middle school days too so I so related to this season so much

I think they wrote minkus out because you had Urkel and Mark Foster on TGIF also and maybe they thought there were too many Urkel like characters on TGIF

Season 2 was more like the rest of the series and it was before they aged the kids up

The first few seasons do such a good job of nailing a lot of what it is like to be a kid in that transition between childhood and being a teenager. Leaving behind some  things and ideas but not quite knowing where to go with new ones.

Minkus got done dirty

18:28 The ole "hide when the door opens, wait a few seconds, then reveal yourself for dramatic effect" tactic that all cops use.

I think they teach that at the academy.

The show got gradually worse as the seasons progressed. The first couple of years were just great but once puberty hit for the actors, the shows dynamics changed. I understand they tried to do a "Coming of Age" show with HS drama and etc but its magic was just gone. The early episodes where Corey's dad wakes him up to watch a game and other episodes had some important lessons. The later HS and college years were just foolish. They made Eric a complete buffoon.

Ben Savage's brother show, The Wonder Years was drawn much more closer to reality than BMW. This was the blueprint. Life sometimes does not just fall into place perfectly.  I found it silly that Topanga  gave up going to an Ivy League school so she could follow Corey to some small state school and what do you know, the dean of the university was Mr. Feeny... In the Wonder Years, a teacher Kevin liked died, his father also tragically passed away and he and Winnie did not end up together like Corey and Topanga.

There was so much potential for BMW but that era of TGIF shows on ABC simply would not allow it to happen. A shame but the first two seasons were really really good. After that, it began waning.

maybe my favorite season of bmw

Thanks for these videos I havent thought about this show in forever

I remember distinctly as a kid when the music in the show changed from dorky music to cool hip sounds everything was evolving.

They should have kept Minkus. He could have been a target for Harley or something with Cory and Shawn saving him. Or Minkus could have brought out a dark side of Griff or something. idk, bro should have been in the show more.

loved how they let the show grow up
