THE SUN IS A DEADLY LASER!
One one.
… What do you mean that’s not how you say it?

This is my favorite history of the universe/world video.

Yeah it's pretty difficult to absorb all the information in this video since everything whizzes by so fast. I mean he condensed 13.4 billion years into a 20 minute video, so a LOT got cut down or skipped entirely.

5:39 Yes they can't go backwards in evolution, but animals often retrace their steps. Everything evolves into a crab haha meme. But for example, i believe whales have vestigial legs. Which means that the ancestors of whales went up from the sea onto land (as all other land critters) and developed legs, but later went back to the sea where they are now.

7:21 Potemkin's theme intensifies

My favourite bit he included in this is how Madagascar was populated: The way they proved is that some guy somehow noticed that the Malagasy language had something crazy like a 90% similarity in words with a language from Borneo that I can't remember the name of, then they successfully made the journey across the Indian Ocean with boats made with the technology available at the time, and then they did genetic studies that confirmed that the Malagasy population pretty much 50% East African and 50% Southeast Asian. They also found remains of old boats with Asian crops in them, like mung beans and rice.

So crazy to think that they made it all the way across the Indian Ocean with the technology that they had at the time.

7:23 Counterargument: Society = Vtubers

5:34 Well evolution is a mystery, full of change that no one sees. Clock makes a fool of history. (carry it on) Also, Wan wan!

19:27 People getting their heads chopped off.
> "Yippee!"

I have a soft spot for cute girls reacting to very complex history videos and I need more of it!!

2:33 IS it a temperature issue, if there is nothing yet that can measure temperature?  But I guess it hearkens back to the old, "If a tree falls in the forest and nothing around can hear, does it make a sound?" question.

Your name is my second favourite prime number. Instant subscribe

I love this video! He does such a good job with the animations and the rapid-fire delivery.

Also, I recommend Ryan George's videos. He has some fun ones about cults and conspiracy theories I think you'd like!

Wan wan Eleven, you're great!

Yay! I have been hoping for this one form you.

7:40 Tin is very rare and there is very little of it in Europe. Most tin was imported from far away until some local sources were found. We are not sure the original source(s) for the tin used in Europe during the early Bronze Age, and there is a lot of debate.

It was likely from Africa or Central Asia, and then transported by ships in the Mediterranean (where they have recovered numerous shipwrecks of tin).

Maybe their economy collapsed when new tin sources were found, or when tin demand vanished at the end of the Bronze Age.

If I am incorrect or anyone has more info, please correct me! I like to learn.

"The sun is a deadly laser" You could make a religion out of that.
Wait.. what?

I'm pretty sure the thing inventor is meant to represent ai.
