That original model is one of my favourite minis ever. Whoever sculpted it captured the cover so well.

Your 3rd Castellan could use the  Legion Praetor with Power Axe as a base. He has a rathe chunky frame that might fit the vibe.

I love a kit bash that keeps the look of the old model, but it looks different. I love to hear how the ranks and structure of different chapters

Great kitbash!
I love the official one, he's by far the best looking space marine model GW has made. I really hope they make more minis with his level of heft, he's just so big and wide, and so far there's none quite like it.

Nailed it again with the conversion. Please do more 30k conversions for the templars

Theres nothing quite like the joy of kitbashing your own heroes, inspired by the official art and models, but uniquely yours.

I used to do only small modifications to my minis until I felt comfy enough to kitbash the ever rotting Nurgality out of a demon prince and it turned out absolutely amazing. Now the Combat Patrol Magazine came out and 8 bucks for 3 Von Ryan's Leapers was maybe the best chance ever to experiment on smaller minis. So I bought 6 packs and activated my hive mind to make them ALL unique from crouching on a rock to freely leaping in the air. Thank you for motivating me to try this with your endless enthusiasm. Without your everlasting positivity, I wouldn't have done it and the joy of creating something completely new might have been locked away forever.

Shakes power axe, "Hey you initiates, get off my lawn!"

In my homebrew Chapter, 'Capes' are how they define someone as being of "Officer" rank (So liuetenant and up).

Battle brothers get to wear the Aquila, Veterans get Silver (white replacement), Sergents get the red helmets, Lieutenants get capes, Captains get gold, and the 'Lord Commander of the Chapter' (CM equivilent, with "Chapter Master" being an honorary rank that is still held by the first CM, now residing in a Dreadnought) gets MOAR gold.

2:34 BIONICLE MENTIONED, WOOOO

... I love that Castellan model. A genuine icon of the setting and a cherished-memory for many of a space-and-time and its art that originally cast a holy-fire for a lifelong obsession. He is one-of the stalwart knights and tireless engineers who emerge in different places throughout universal-time to remind us that humanity is not dead... and that the virtues of heroism and chivalry, while momentarily lost, are only waiting to be restored in those willing to become instruments of unassailable commitment. The quest for the Grail... must never be abandoned.

Thank-you for your work, Jay... and your unwavering faith in the Eternal Crusade. The opportunity to undo what was once wrong and make it right... is humanity's greatest gift. Few can ever understand The Call.

... Qui Audet Adipiscitur...

That powersword would look cool with some tinted uv resin in the middle, great conversation man

NOOOOO THE SHOULDER PAD IS THE WRONG WAY

Peep that Monstergarden Dwarf in the background. 😎👍

I've been watching your videos for a few years now and man oh man have you upped your painting game in that time. These two are just gorgeous in every way.

Woah, my world's collide! You used a song that @11:39 that another Minecraft YouTuber I follow uses for his time lapses. That's so funny. Shout out to my boy scar.

That looks so good dude. Hopefully we get to see your Black Templar on the battlefield. I'd love to see you on 40k in 40. Great visuals with your beautiful painting.

14:57 Also lieutenant in lieutenant armor

I prefer yours, I feel like the old one has amazing nostalgia for people. But I didnt play back then, its just not for me personally. Yours aestheticly is better to me, and now I know what to do with my praetor!
