I explained this pretty heavily in the video itself, so I won't fully repeat myself here, but: worry not, y'all! I WILL re-listen/react to this song in the proper order in time! Forgive me for skipping ahead a bit, but my schedule is abominable most of the time. :)

This track blew me away. I felt like there were so many twists and turns, it was not dissimilar from watching a movie full of plot twists.

I'm really looking forward to revisiting this with all the proper context, but for now, dang, y'all! What an experience this was. Thanks for recommending this to me!

No need to try and catch everything or worry about what you’re not missing. Here is a glimpse of connections and depth. There are so many callbacks to other songs in this one. The question of the definition of success was from ”Why,” where he didn’t have an answer and didn’t trust the thing that beats inside his chest. The woman’s voice is from a song from the first album “Mansion” (his head), the other person is Nate, who is his early depressed self. Map to Hope referred back to “The Search,” which is the album with the balloons, which are his burdens. The old guy was from “Let You Down,”(watch till the end, not his dad) and the cage and keys are from “Outcast,” also the first time he said in a song that he forgave his mom, see “How Could You Leave Us” (Mama is the follow-up song to that one) to name a few of the connections haha. There are so many connections between songs and even more with the music videos. The NF journey is incredible storytelling. He is my favourite artist… period.

LOVE

Whats also crazy is that as you do the journey, you'll see improvements in this rapping ability over each album hope was the culmination of years of nf trying to escape the hole and he finally did it so we all as nf fans were so happy to see him get to this point

hotel california isnt a comparison i’ve heard for this, but musically and lyrically i totally see that. good call!

This track is a branch from "WHY" which leads into the search

I think that is a great plan...and am so looking forward to following your journey, however long it may take!

The Search video, Leave Me Alone video are direct prequels to this.

Can’t wait to watch this one.  I’ll wait for the kids to go down so I can enjoy your reaction!!!!

Appreciate you!

absolute masterpiece.

Pop around. You are good. I couldn't wait either. I had to listen to his new music when I discovered NF. I still learned the journey and the call backs as they come. You might want to do two songs at a time. You get there twice as fast and a lot of songs are perfect for two or three at a time. In fact if you do No Name, The Search, and Leave Me Alone they are all related.

Great reaction..   don’t worry about the journey.  If you are a rap fan you need to also check out The Search before starting the journey if you do!!

as a fan of people who do the full journey, i don’t hate your plan. once you go from the start and get back to these they will make so much more sense though!

We never got to jump ahead.  We had to wait till he dropped. That's the point of Thee, NF Journey!" But ok. You'll get it eventually and wish you'd have listened to his fans...and Yours. 🩸🗝🐦‍🔥😎
