I am here after the news.
Rest in peace, Peter Cullen.😢

The TFHypeguy bit at the end was really wholesome. Him getting recognized and thanked by the director is like every fan's dream. True dedication was rewarded.

42:53 I saw this movie with a friend who only knew transformers lore through me. He never saw a trailer for this movie. When D-16 killed Sentinel he turned to me, baffled, and asked “Does D-16 turn into Megatron????”
I never thought about how crazy that must’ve been for him

38:46 And he's already up there, R.I.P Peter thanks for everything man 🕊

I'll never forgive Paramount for not marketing this movie, to the point I, a huge Transformers nerd, didn't think it'd be worth watching in cinemas. I guess we are now going back to slop with this franchise

Hey friend, thank you for the kind words and the mention. Huge shout out to Josh Cooley, the entire Story, Previs, Art, Editorial, Script team, and insane teams from Singapore and Sydney ILM for all of it's work on TF1! There will never been another movie like this one, and we are so proud that it's out there. Also, thanks again to TF Hype Guy!~ Dudes a Legend.

I think the actual twist with Sentinel is that you don't know how f*king evil he actually is.
Like, yeah, the very first moment you hear his name you think "Ah, the twist villain"
But when it's revealed the horrors this guy comitted just to be the robot president, Jesus... That was actually gruesome

I remember thinking this movie was so good, I went to see it again with my cousin who had absolutely no background knowledge of the Transformers franchise whatsoever. He actually ended up really enjoying it, which is just proof that terrible marketing ruined the chance to introduce this franchise to a new audience with a much needed breath of fresh air.

This movie showed me why Megatron really removed Bumblebee’s voice box.

I find pretty tragic just how Megatron throws away the Cog he got.
Alpha Trion entrusted the gift of his friends to four young people so that they could reach their potential. Something they were denied from birth.
Megatron simply throws it away without even looking, instead taking from his enemy something he believes is rightfully his.
Unfortunately, the potential for choice includes the choice of evil.

"oh yeah well watch this" has to be one of my favorite jokes in any movie I've seen

Megatron wasn't shooting randomly after killing Sentinel Prime.
His intention was to destroy not only the idols of Sentinel, but all the Transformers that served under him. The Transformers from the IACON 5000 who oppressed the cog-less miners while serving their mortal enemies

I think the reason nobody was annoyed by TFHypeGuy is because you could tell how genuinely passionate he was, so it never felt obnoxious when you saw his posts everywhere, he was actually trying to save the movie and the franchise

A reminder that Transformers one was released the same year as Sonic the hedgehog 3. It's like Paramount treated sonic 3 as the most popular kid in school with it's marketing while it treated transformers one as the nerd kid nobody likes.

38:50 Peter has also said a few years ago that he doesn’t want to play Optimus anymore, both due to his age like you said but also because he doesn’t want to be the only person to voice Prime for all of eternity

“RIP”
to the legend of “Optimus prime”

TFHypeguy be like: "ONE MAN!! ALONE!! BETRAYED BY THE COUNTRY HE LOVES!!!!"

The best one, and it’ll never get a sequel. That’s the power of terrible marketing.

This is why DVD sales were important. If a movie didn't do as well in theatres they could make it up in DVD sales. Transformers one could have had a revival
