i refuse to believe this isnt intentional. my ex had major mommy issues and he married a woman 15 years older than him who had the same first name as his mom so her full name was literally the same as his wife 😭 it really sealed the weirdness that they looked alike

Child of divorce here. When I was in eighth grade, my teacher went around asking everyone if their parents were divorced, and if we said yes, he'd put his hand on our shoulders and say "it's not your fault" while shaking his head. They separated before I was even born😭

child of divorce here. I was at a bowling alley with my parents and the rest of my dads family (my aunt, uncle, and grandma) My mom and dad pull me aside at the bowling alley and say "we are getting a divorce" then my mom goes back fir her turn, bam strike. jumps does a little spin then comes back to continue the conversation 😭

honestly I can see both sides on the adopted sister story, I 100% would make that joke with my siblings and it would be chill, but I can kinda see being upset or feeling some kinda away about your sibling calling themself "the chosen one" but like, you just say "Hey sister, it makes me feel kinda bad when you say that, do you think you could stop?"

Cooper confusing half sibling and step sibling is rlly funny 😭😭

No Coop, please do continue saying “I love you so much” at the end of your videos. We need to normalize broader definitions of love. That’s how we build community.

Loving the smosh reference with The Chosen! Also love that fact that Coop goes from wearing a chiefs jacket and a collared shirt to wearing sunglasses inside with a sword wearing an Twilight: Eclipse shirt 😂

while i think “yeah well your REAL dad DIDNT choose you” was not a great thing to say, if that person spent their entire childhood getting told “haha your dad didnt even choose to have YOU he got STUCK with you he CHOSE me” i’d be upset too. its also pretty shitty to say and not a very funny joke imo

After my mom and dad divorced she kept his last name. He adopted me when I was 12 and I have younger brothers as well. She got remarried a few years ago. She called my dad and asked if she could keep his last  name and hyphenate with her now husband's. My dad said of course, shes the mother of his children amd he'd be honored if she kept it. I think thats really special. But again, she asked for his permission and he was happy to give it.

13:19 i would also get annoyed if the joke specifically includes “he’s stuck with you” like c’mon. you can be insecure but you shouldn’t take it out on and insult your siblings because THEY DIDN’T LEAVE YOU.

It’s weird to even marry your new husband and give him your ex’s last name. They made 100x weirder

23:32 Unkind thought of the day, it makes sense that Mark got engaged to a 24 y/o when that's the emotional maturity he's used to. Grow up Carol

If you marry the person you cheated with, you deserve to have an empty wedding

15:54 The only way I can even slightly (Itty bitty) sympathize for this person is if the sister kept saying the "dad was stuck with you guys, he chose me" almost every time she mentioned being chosen because it takes away from the fact that both their parents chose to make them as well. Takes at least two to tango

“staying together for the kids” and it’s always the last thing the kids want, making your surname your FULL NAME david carter to davidcarter is genuinely mental illness levels of weird

22:45 "Carol says I'm choosing money over her mental health" well, yeah Carol $20K is a lot to pay for the mental health of your adult sister 😂

child of divorce here, it was in the 90s so our school counsellor picked us out of class and was like "y'alls parents divorced? come with me" lol

14:13 okay but coop gives big chosen energy

The Chosen Cameo was beautiful 🔥

13:03 SMOSH REFERENCE? IN THIS ECONOMY???? PLEASE GIVE ME A COLLAB OMG
