Ron Howard and his crew deserved medals for creating that masterpiece of story telling.

This film was my first assignment while working security at Universal Studios, so I spent plenty of time on those sets. The Jim Lovell house, Mission Control...all of it was pretty cool, especially during those graveyard shifts. I’ll never forget Ron Howard showing up early in the morning, fixing himself a bowl of cereal, and asking his assistant, “OK, so what’s our first shot?” I think I still have daily script pages and call sheets from the shoot. Fun times.

RIP Jim Lovell.

I wish he had lived an extra 8 months to see Artemis II.

“It was neat.” Boy Mr Krantz, it sure was. You sir are the epitome of the accolade “Steely eyed missile man.”

I remember when this happened. I consider "Apollo 13" to be one of the greatest movies ever made because even though I knew the ending, it still kept me on the edge of my seat. Actually, it still does. Thank you so much for this!!!!

This was one of the few movies I had been allowed to watch due to the language in it as a kid. I was born in 87, and we went as a family to see this in theatres due to my parents' understanding of the historical significance of this flight. To this very day, the impact that this movie has had on my life cannot be understated. It affected my entire course of life and education due to the massive fires of interest that had been lit by experiencing this film. I have seen the shuttle, Falcon 9, and Starship all go up with my own eyes and had every intention of becoming a pilot and astronaut. I went the engineering route, but in my mid/late 20s got hurt, had surgery, and loved the pain medication. I gave up my whole life, all the work and effort in career and otherwise, for my addiction. While I have unfortunate regrets, my love of science and technology has never waned, and over five years into my recovery journey, my passion for space, exploration, creation, problem solving, technology, and the desire to push through every situation has never left me and saved my life.

Fight Director Gene Kranz is the epitome of steel-eyed master of precision and execution, to see him get choked up at the end is just an indication of how truly endangered the astronauts were and what a miracle it was that the NASA team got them home safe.

When Kranz beaks down at the end of this video, it really gets to me. He was as heroic as those on board. The coolest head in mission control.

That few seconds of Gene Cyrnan re-living the successful return of the crew …it is just beyond…

My favorite movie that I have seen countless times. This behind the scenes was incredible! I am going to watch the movie again tonight!

It is insane to realize that it's been longer since this movie came out than it was from the Apollo 13 mission to the movie.

6:00 it looked so incredible. How they managed to do that was immortal.

I followed the space programs from Gemini forward and most recently glued to Artemis live every day. I remember Apollo 13 when it happened. Whole world was glued. Every nation watched the real event day by day, hour by hour. When those astronauts splashed down it was a triumphant victory heard around the world.

I feigned illness more than once to stay home from school to watch the black & white TV coverage of these missions as a kid. Also begged my Dad for a crewcut. This film is so great! These were-- are all my heros! This is the best movie / story of all time.

My favorite movie.   In the years I did electronic repair, I used Apollo 13 as my test tape (VCR) and watched it hundreds of times.  Never got tired of seeing the story of the triumph of American engineers.

Ron Howard is a genius.

This is the second of the great trilogy of NASA presentations. "The Right Stuff", "Apollo 13", and "From the Earth to the Moon".

The movie is now older than the event it depicts was at the time.  I don't know how the hell that happens

this movie is "the odyssey" we deserve

It was just before my 12th birthday when Apollo 13 Took place. Everybody was riveted… We seriously did not know if we were gonna be able to get them back alive. The tension was palpable! Everybody just thanked God, cheered and sighed with relief when they got them back! I’m glad I was alive and cognizant of what was going on, it was a great time to live through.
