After almost 40 years, I've discovered that there's "behind the scenes" footage of Spaceballs. Thank you!

Rick Moranis suggesting Barf being John Candy was perfect and I can't imagine anyone else doing it better. Rick and John worked together before a lot so I can see why he did it.

"That's all we needed, a Druish princess."

"Funny, she doesn't look Druish!"

John Candy will be missed in the new one.

"I'm a mog! Half man, half dog. I´m my own best friend!" Is such a Mel Brooks line, and delivered perfectly by John Candy.
This might be the most quoted movie of all time..

I'm 71 and to this day will still say "My HAIR" a la Zuniga when she got fired up and jumped into the fray. That was a beautiful tribute to John at the end. What a wonderful man he was. Mel at 100 now - what an amazing legacy he will be leaving us at some point!

Nice way to celebrate Mel's centennial. Mel has always worked satire into an art form, and I can't think of anyone who does it better. I loved this when it first came out and have loved it since. I still laugh out loud when Yogurt first appears and I keep laughing with his whole bit. Every cast member played their character perfectly and even Joan Rivers was the perfect voice for the robot-another laugh-out-loud moment for me when she first spoke. John Candy gone too soon. It's good to know everyone enjoyed making the movie, but that seems to be the way it goes with his directing style. All you hear is what a good time cast and crew have making his movies. Great movie, lots of laughs, another gem from Mel Brooks.
