I wish I lived in the timeline where the Star Wars sequels weren’t the dumbest shit ever

Robot Chicken's Palpatine was still alive after he fell into space. I 100% believe RoS writers saw that skit and said "Genius!"

the worse part is that he didnt make his announcement to the galaxy but he did it in a fortnite event. soooooo fortnite is canon in the star wars universe.

“The dead speak!” is such a spot on opening for this film and franchise as a whole.

@QuillpointEtcetera 1 year ago

My favorite part was when Rey healed the worm creature with her out-of-nowhere Force Jesus powers and it caused a way outside to open as if the whole worm sequence was part of a damned Zelda game.

There’s absolutely no concrete connection between the First Order and the “Final Order”. It’s insane this made it to theaters.

The funny part is George retconned Korriban to Moraband for TCW, and then Disney retconned it to Exegol, even though TCW is supposed to be in canon with Disney. Star Wars is fucked beyond repair.

Within the same time-frame, the First Order was required to build a PLANET sized Death Star to eat a Sun and destroy a few planets with one shot. During that same time, Palpatine had an entire fleet of small ships that could have destroyed FAR more with almost no effort.

To add another stupid thing that Palpatine did. If his ghost possesses Rey when she kills him, why in the F would he tell her that? In Character Palpatine would make her Angry saying things like “I will kill all your friends and there is nothing you can do to stop me,”Or something like that. That would enrage her and she trys to kill him.
But if you tell her: “Yes kill me and I takeover your Body” she wouldnt say “yeah sure.”
God thats Stupid.

All hail Kyle Ben. And Wolf, too, of course.

11:07 this analogy kills me every time. I don't know how much it's mentioned on EFAP outside of this, but it always felt like a classic recurring EFAP joke.

Rey doing further training in this movie is like when you complete all the video game sidequests and you're completely overpowered for the final boss, and you're just stalling at this point

@goldenermarz3910 1 year ago

Oh, the last time I was this early, Star Wars movies weren't disasters of biblical proportions yet.😊

EFAP 66 is the only thing that brings me joy in life

My father took me to every PT film on release, and we both went to see TFA together years later. Until this day, neither of us have seen TLJ or RoP, thanks to the devstating TLJ leaks (shout out to people who spoiled it).

Can't believe what Disney has done to Star Wars.

@Willie_Pete_Was_Here 1 year ago

So the reason Poe was was disappointed-sounding when he said that Palpatine had returned was because of the Fortnite announcement

@aitchisondaniel 1 year ago

I got a free ticket to it, and I was robbed...

@andrewwall4155 1 year ago

The Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker are legitimately two of the worst movies ever made.

@phonepunk7888 1 year ago (edited)

It still makes me laugh that TLJ fans were mad at JJ for subverting the expectations set by the last film. Oh, do you not like it when a director decides to purposefully go against the previous movie? That's bad now? The hypocrisy would be worth pointing it if it weren't the only value they seem to have.

The Destroyer super lasers are a thumb in the eye of the EU — the Emperor does come back and builds a massive flagship of a super star destroyer with a superlaser on it equivalent to one of the Death Star’s relays. The point was that it was much weaker but could still cause cataclysm on a rebelling planet by damaging the crust and annihilating whole tranches of its surface, or destroy ships directly. Like many things in the sequels, they had it written better (if silly) for them and chose the even dumber route.
