so funny how these violent types are always the 1st ones crying that they're the victim if someone pushes back on their bullying.

Her getting fired just signals that the company will let you assault employees and kiss your ass for it

"why didn't you report your assault?"

Two women got fired for not taking a man’s assault quietly.  And people still think misogyny doesn’t exist 🙄

Another example of women stepping up to make everyone around them safe....and then being let down.

The manager is the one who should have been fired! Definitely not the women, who are the only ones who did the right thing…the whole time!

This situation just further proves how disposable you are as an employee no matter where you work. Don't be married to your job.

That was one hell of a introduction to the American legal and justice system for you, Robert. She's 100% correct when she says that the system is designed to wear you down so that you either give up or give in. Wishing her all the best!

“Why would they drop that?”

America. The answer is America. It’s hard to live here.

A few years back I was the victim in a hit and run. Caught the license number and had the police drag him in.
The minute the police saw I was a woman and him a man the attitude completely changed. Everyone started acting like I was making a big deal out of nothing and should just let it go. It took months and a court order to FINALLY get justice and my car fixed.
Misogyny is still alive but that doesn't mean you don't fight. It is exhausting and demoralizing though...

I can tell you exactly what happened from the management perspective. I’m not at all saying it was right and it is leaving them open to massive liability. The policy was to alert a manager to cut off a customer. The manager did not. That leaves the whole business open to losing their liquor license. Much more convenient to fire the bartenders, blame them and fight in court knowing those bartenders can’t fight back. It’s absolutely heinous, but that’s precisely what happened.

And this is why women need to support women in scenarios like this. The business and prosecutor supporting a violent man is EXACTLY why patriarchy needs to be dismantled. Men get away with the literal murder of women. Not getting punished for assaulting a person is insanity. It's not like the prosecution didn't have the evidence to charge him. What a joke. Boycott that business.

It sounds like this woman works for a corporation like a ruby’s or tgi Friday’s and this is EXACTLY how corporations function.

I...actually didn't know charges could be dropped like that without the victim's approval or offer....literally why? Every day becomes more disheartening to live here and be alive as a women.

The reason this happened is corporate greed and ✨ sexism ✨.
And the reason the assault charges were dropped is because of the plea deal. Usually the accused agree to admit guilt to a lesser charge in return for having other charges dropped.

The manager let that assaulter keep drinking on a day when kids are often out and about trick or treating. The bar needs to lose its liquor license. Period. Shame on the prosecutor for dropping assault charges, too. This guy is a violent alcoholic who has no qualms being a menace to others. A slap on the wrist isn't enough, imo.

Welcome to the USofA, where women are treated like second-class, objectified human beings, despite lip service to the contrary. Just look up the assaults on women statistics in this country. It's more unsafe now than it ever has been.

Thanks Robert for sharing this story. This lady (Bartender) is amazing and mad respect to her, she deserves so much more!!
As for that restaurant what a crappy thing to do...(Im being polite.).
As for that man ..I'm not even going to waste my breath, he is not worth it  (I hope his wife is ok though...Thats a worry.)

She RIGHTFULLY has PTSD from this encounter. That's why she's terrified now of bald men with beards. I hope she knows that is a completely NORMAL reaction. I hope she can take on that abusive jerk and sue him in a civil case to make him pay for therapy for the trauma he caused her.

It's normal in the US for charges to get dropped. The courts seem to have a soft spot for men who are abusive to women. I have a friend going through an ordeal right now so I went with her to court a couple of days ago for moral support and the nonsense I witnessed was disheartening to say the least. So if you're a man who likes to beat up women, drive while intoxicated, and violate restraining orders, the world is your oyster,
