Her realizing she did the wrong thing and then asking for any advice to fix things… she’s still only thinking about herself. If she really loved him, she would respect his decision and let him go. She would understand the gravity of what she did, and own it, even if it’s uncomfortable and comes at a huge loss to her. For his sake.

Ooooh, this girl needs so much therapy. She's asking out her supervisor. She's being hyper defensive because she doesn't want to analyze the imbalance of power. She's young and in a completely different stage of life than he is. He's focused on establishing a solid base professionally and establishing a mature life. She's younger and still wants to have fun times and run around with her peers. She needs to accept her (relative) immaturity and date within her peer group, even if it's less financially enjoyable. She's acting like a young person, he's acting like a mature adult. She's got a LOT of growing up to do

During lockdown. My children didn't really understand what was going on. My youngest(5years) just started bawling her eyes out -"I just want to go shopping".
So I brought shopping home
It was hard, we were just getting by. I lost my job. So I scraped together $200 and bought every cheap thing I could (used or new) and I made a shop that they could spend their chore money at.
It was known as barter town and I said I was Master blaster (wore a cowboy hat and had a southern accent)

lol god that first story shows why age gaps are frowned upon. The younger party always thinks they're "so mature" and every word out of their face just demonstrates exactly why that isn't the case. Dude dodged a bullet there. Hope op grows up and gets a healthy perspective on herself and how relationships work.

It already went way south in the first sentence. A 24-year-old has no business being in a relationship with a 41-year old. That is a whole generation in difference. She could have literally been his daughter. That's creepy, no matter how you twist or turn it.

Second, I go by the rule of thumb "anyone asking for an open relationship is already cheating". Breaking up is the only wise way to go.

Open relationships are just relationships that have ended but the couple doesnt want to admit it. She doesnt deserve him.

My brother was married only 3 years when his wife asked for an open marriage. They were divorced a year later. It was an obvious coping mechanism on her part due to several miscarriages and they were both extremely self-centered people to put it lightly.

You basically asked him for a pass to cheat on him. There's no coming back from this. What your former boyfriend did was the only thing he could do after you broke his heart. ( I have had numerous situations where I could have died, but managed to survive all of them.) In the end, Loki saved the day, even though she made it out.
