I’m a black woman & I must say: Hollywood including DEI roles has actually made it WORSE for black actors, not better. In the 80s, 90s & 2000s, when a black person like Denzel, Will Smith, Angela Bassett, Morgan Freeman, etc were in a role, you could tell that they deserved to be there because they were extremely talented & fit the role perfectly. We were impressed with these black actors because we knew the casting was merit-based & that their success was well-deserved. It was special. That’s why people were star struck by them & why they gained so many fans. Now that we know these studios are picking based on identity & not merit, black actors rarely impress me anymore. Because in the back of my mind, even when I’m trying to block out negative thoughts so that I can enjoy the film, I know deep down that the actor/actress is only there for pity & to check off a box. That’s why you’re not seeing many new black stars emerge anymore who become household names, despite the fact that there are a lot more black actors now. That & due to the fact that most movies & shows these days are complete ASS.

It's the craziest thing: I just don't enjoy giving money to people who hate me.

These actors thinking their millions make them activists is a true testament to their narcissism.

I love how the number of Hollywood viewers has plummeted, while Nerdrotic has gone from 750k  to 1.22million.

Rachel Zegler saying “I don’t need your business” as if she loses a dime for her failures and not the studios funding her nonsense is my favorite delusions of grandeur in Hollywood.

You can never hear that Ricky Gervaise speech enough.

Laughing at Hollywoods failures never gets old.

I feel like Hollyweird never recovered from Ricky Gervais truth bomb and I love it

in the era of globalization, hollywood think that they are irreplaceable as an entertainer is peak comedy

Hollywood is so vocal about being against sexual harassment but that won’t stop them from adding weird sex stuff in their movies and shows

I can't stomach modern hollywood and am working my way back through a hundred years of magnificent movies and it is glorious.

As a black man, NOBODY takes hoopty Goldberg seriously

Disney will sadly never go away anytime soon. I hope I’m wrong, but there are so many brainwashed, emotionally stunted adult children out there with their 401ks invested in stuffed animals to continually prop this industry up.

Yesterday I watched The Good Son with my 21yr old son. When I told him that in the 90’s it wasn’t even considered  a big hit movie, he was shocked. He said “Mom that movie would be the #1 movie of the year in 2025.”  Told him the 90’s had so many amazing movies that flew under the radar -too many to count. Personally I haven’t watched a Hollywood movie since 2010. Total trash

I can’t stand to even get a glimpse of Tom hanks once a fan , seems like another lifetime

When you impose rules and restrictions on creativity, you lose creativity and destroy art.

It truly is sickening to see how these people think and view the world and America. I've long known this, been in this fight since like mid to late 2015, but I never fails to annoy me that these people are so entitled and also think they're the good guys.

Watching Hollywood destroy itself is much more entertaining than the movies they crap out.

"People hired people they knew, and that ended up often being people who looked like them."   Wants to hire people that look them.

Just imagine: we don't watch what we said we didn't want.

Shocking!
