🚨 FULL SPOILER REVIEW
20:26 Spoiler Discussion Begins

I was really hoping he would move on from his high school friends.  A message of growing up and dealing with and accepting loss.  A chance to introduce different characters and love interest as a post college young adult.

As soon as Gary said “I turned off my brain” I could hear MauLer grinding his teeth.

Everyone: * starved for a good film *

Mauler: I was born of this

Should've been titled:

Spiderman - Brand New Cope

20:50 after so many reviews, MauLer is the first person to mention The Hand. I hated what this movie did to them. Instead of being a shadowy group of ninjas dedicated to fighting with supernatural forces of evil for thousands of years, this movie reduces them to a group of "misguided" young people that find purpose in working for Damage Control.

Hollywood HATES superhero’s being HEROS !!!   They are forcing “morally ambiguous tragic backstory permission to murder now”.  It sucks.

Mauler is correct, but everyone is so starved for a decent marvel movie that they look past the obvious flaws

Morally ambiguous does not mean you go around murdering people. That is evil. Pure and simple. In the other   Men movies, Jean and most X men were good people.

If they are making the X-Men evil, then will the government would be justified trying to lock them up.  This is really horrible

Could’ve had Kingpin working with DODC and cut Jean Grey out of the movie. Could’ve had Daredevil and Punisher work with Spidey and at the end they could’ve had Gwen introduced.

So it sounds like Mauler didn't turn his brain off to watch this film.

That's it. The thumb nail. I want Andrew Garfield's Spiderman vs Gary's Doc Ock

Mauler is spot on with his analysis

I love how mauler isn’t holding back

People getting so fuckin butthurt over Mauler’s comments will always make me laugh

I mean Mauler is absolutely right on this one and I can't help but feel there is a bit of cope with everyone else. People seem to be far too forgiving for the sake of some competent actions scenes and seeing the latest pick-a-mix of Marvel characters thrown into the movie.

Also it is hilarious that the 90's Spiderman cartoon told a better story about Peter mutating into Man-Spider, Punisher hunting him and Peter even going to the X-men for help then a multimillion dollar Hollywood movie.

I wanted VMax to be a codename for the Venom Symbiot . For a while I convinced myself that the hoping around was the symbiote infecting people so quickly that we couldn't see

Anyone notice that Peter’s embrace of JG near the end was Sony’s attempt of temporarily giving Peter the embrace of a redhead since we’ll never get a real Mary Jane Watson?

I feel like jean gray was unnecessary. And for a moment i thought we were going to leave behind Ned and Zendaya . I thought she maybe would die but it i would be satisfied with them taking separate ways.

My problem with all the tom holland Spider-Man movies is that all they do is focus on character development and setup and the story doesn’t really go anywhere. It’s always just fight and develop and nothing ever goes anywhere until something else happens in another film. Homecoming he gets to be Spider-Man but also can’t be Spider-Man and gets his suit taken and then gets it back. Far from home he gets tricked and realizes he messed up and then stops the bad guy. Far from home he wants everyone to forget he’s Spider-Man then undoes it, then undoes that and then does it again. It’s all just setup movies every time like how many more movies are we gonna have tom holland play Spider-Man like 20? It seems they just use Spider-Man as a bridge to other superhero movies and they can’t have a high stakes Spider-Man movie just on his own.
