This was done at a charity event at The Royal Albert Hall in London for the Breast cancer charity in the UK

Wonderful. I like this song.
As a breast cancer survivor myself, it’s so cool he did this for a charity event

You Grew on Me is another great song with Tim’s usual very clever lyrics. Plus, If This Plane Goes Down. In fact, anything by Tim is fine by me.

I saw Tim live in Salford, England years ago. "You Grew on Me" hit me like a truck after a breakup

I always find it particularly funny in this song that he has no problem with lyrics like “masturbate at all, fellatio, backdoorable” and so on, but hesitates at the lyric “clean it all off with a tissue”. The embarrassment disconnect is especially funny to me.

This was the first video I ever saw of him. I thought that the joke was that he was a comedian behind a piano, miming playing it crazy well. Turned out he was just playing it crazy well.

I recommend listening to Tim's song 'If I Didn't Have You' as your next reaction its funny and clever.

"Is this also a life experience with Tim?"
He's happily married with children. (He was married to her before he became famous, and credits her for choosing to support him while he worked on his career.)

My ❤husband passed after 40 years together, though one anniversary, we were at one of Tim’s performances. Fantastic memories 💕Thanks….

Maybe a look at his speech at the University of Western Australia would give you more insight of Tim

I love when he hits the piano solo he plays in an off key but it still sounds right.

Literally any of his stuff is worth a reaction and I'm glad you're getting through so much.

His command of the English language is exceptional.

Please, please, please do “Play it safe” from Tim…. It’s a 50th anniversary tribute to the Sydney Opera House and it’s a real treat with an entire video to go with it!!! 😊

Lovely! Do "'Confirmation Bias' | Tim Minchin: BACK" next, you'll like it and it's a littler newer.

I think I mentioned it one or two times 😉, I really look forward to you meeting "Tony the fish" ( imho best version can be found as "Tim Minchin | If You Open Your Mind Too Much Your Brain Will Fall Out (Take My Wife)" ). Wonderful as always, dearest llama queen.

It's crazy to think I first discovered Tim Minchin in 2008. 17 years later and I still find his material so entertaining and he's still relatively unknown. Even in the UK where he's lived most of his life

For a song with a simlar sort of topic, maybe try Christine Lavin's "Artificial Means" or Victoria Wood's "The Ballad of Barry and Freda" (VW is also an awesome pianist)

Shit yeah I was thinking that

I would recommend watching the documentary Rock n Roll Nerd offline. It is an hour and a half film about the rise of Tim Minchin up to and through his first Edinburgh Fringe Fest. It shows Tim before he had his current persona and how he transformed himself.
