Ah Arma, a realistic military simulation game. Like the real military, SovietWomble's squad is lazy, unfocused, goof offs with zero tactical or military bearing. I love it.

"this doesnt look like a special operations unit...." Yeah they are, just a different kind of "special"

"Talk about combat ineffective."
This man just explained the entirety of ZF and SovietWomble with 4 simple words. You've earned a sub.

"poorly trained irregular troops"
looks at ZF
Yeah seems about right.

"IDK how a hammer could cause a fire."

If there's one thing we all can agree on, it's that humanity will somehow find a way to do so and it will be both glorious and horrifying.

Arma III's sometimes a PTSD kicker, most veterans that i had got to play on Arma III would tell how almost truely realistic the game is close to reality only up until Arma Physics comes to show

At 12:45 the guy talking about voices was not actually RPing. On this map in particular if you walk past certain stones it will cause only you to hear voices and clicking sounds, these clicking sounds and voices being a reference to the movie "The Predator". In a later episode of Arma 3 BS Soviet Womble experiences this himself. Loved the video!

9:45 actually teamspeak is used for arma 3 due to plug-ins which allow you to not shout on the entire server but so you are hear-able around your character.

oh man yeah you'll love more of SovietWomble's stuff. it's legendary and full of references. you'll have a field day. And i do suggest Rimmy's arma series as i find you will be pleasantly surprised with what they know and the humor.

The Mod scene for ArmA 3 is insane. Theres literally everything from Rorke's Drift to Warhammer 40k

@Zerosinker 5 years ago

If he keeps this up he'll get to the antistasi series which are from the perspective of the insurgents I'd like to see his opinion on that

Love how Womble used Buckshot on the guy and he says "it's outside the minimum arming distance"
Didn't know shotgun pellets needed to arm before they'd do damage.

@Robtheprofessional482 5 years ago

16:53 Soviet was testing a 40mm buckshot round. Which honestly sounds like it would just be like swarm of bees.

It’s worth noting that all the notes about “next-gen hand gestures” and what not early on are because ARMA has a menu of motions and that guy either had to be going down that menu to make those hand movements, or to have hot keyed all of them. So something as simple as waving your hands around during a briefing is actually putting in a decent chunk of work.

"I just called in a mortar strike on our own position"
"We just put an AT Mine on the main road"
"I accidentally shot you with a grenade"
"We called in an A-10 on a civilian village"

For the glory of MILF

I love the fact that he's reminded squad leadership is literally herding a bunch of children around

9:50 lol, teamspeak is ancient, but Arma milsim groups love it because there's a really good plugin that gives the game directional voicechat that drops off with distance.

@SavageFrank 1 year ago

"That's how we know this was filmed in 2016 because they are on TeamSpeak" - Meanwhile my unit is still on TeamSpeak.

@therealdemen247 5 years ago

Actually, Teamspeak is the standard for Arma 3. The reason being there are radio mods much more useful than the vanilla VOIP that utilize it. With these mods you get much more accessible local voice that is directional and blocked by being in a building/vehicle, and radios that are much easier to organize on and, depending on which mod you use or how you set it up, is much more realistic.
