Ahh, the little kitten chose you for a reason. She would have brought you joy and found your apartment to be safe and cozy. Kittens are very independent. Maybe next time a kitten chooses you, you’ll accept them.

Olive oil is healthier but do not deep fry things in it cause its smoke point is low, and it isn't made for that type of thing.

The kitten is gorgeous and I can see why you said yes, and whilst it was probably the right decision to let the small child have it instead, I think it would have brought you a lot of happiness. I’ve always had a cat throughout my life. It breaks your heart when they die, but it’s the price you pay for all the pleasure they bring. Our current cat was from a local rescue group. She had been a stray and was very nervous, plus our previous cat had a nasty road accident and we decided we wanted  a house cat. Because she is so timid she is happy as a house cat. This was a consideration when choosing her, as I’m sure our previous cats wouldn’t have been happy as house cats, as they liked to hunt and the freedom to roam.

Can’t believe how cheap groceries are in your country. Here in the US our prices are double and in some cases triple what you’re paying. Everything here right now is very expensive.
