You know you're old when you've lived long enough to witness someone ask what a car's cigarettes lighter is.

The whole beginning scene with the racoon is actually a 1:1 parody of the beginning of the movie Cliffhanger.

I always laugh so hard when the monk guy says, “No, I don’t like it anymore, really.” 😂

30:14 you not knowing what the cigarette lighter is damn near killed me.🤣🤣🤣

Fun fact, one of the things he says to fake out the tribal leaders into kneeling is Shawshank Redemption. As it happened, the actor that played the warden in that movie played the guy Ace was torturing with the eye thing.

Just so you know, the racoon scene is based on a movie with Sylvester Stallone that came out two years earlier, Cliffhanger.

Great action movie, totally worth reacting to it.

I swear, "Like a glove" is such an underrated joke and I'm glad they brought it into the sequel.

That slow Joker face expression she makes at 5:04 is pure gold :D

It is a thing.  They check to see if the hymen is in tact.  Having intercourse is not the only way to break the hymen, but for retro cultures they assume it must mean she had sex.

Ventura doing his detective rant is one of my favorite things. He's bonkers, but he is observant and in the end a good sleuth.

"He's afraid of bats?"

The irony since he plays the Riddler in Batman.

So funny story about the "ooh mama..." scene 😅

When i was a little kid and watched this movie, i thought he was just cold and shivering and trying to warm himself up and when he gets caught, and yells, i figured he was just being typical silly Ace 😂😂 Funny how our young innocent minds can lead to a "totally rational" conclusion 🤣

Jim Carrey originally wanted Ace to be allergic to bats, rather than simply phobic of them. He considered it counter to Ace's personality for him to be opposed to any animal

Jim Carrey didn't care too much about this movie but he had to do it because of contract.
He normaly didn't like to do sequels at the time, until years later he was in Dumb & Dumber 2.

Jim especially didn't like the part of Ace having fear of bats cause he thought it was out of character & suggested that Ace should have an allergy to bats instead.
That would honestly have made more sense.

Jim based Ace's walk on a bird, I think the flamingo.

I’ve seen this movie a dozen times in my life and I only just now realized that the actor who plays Quinn also plays the warden in Shawshank redemption! That makes the scene in the hut when he’s tricking them into kneeling even funnier 😂

My headcanon is the whole "Ace is afraid of bats" aspect to the story was added in after Jim Carrey landed the Riddler role in one of the Batman movies, as an in-joke.

A hymen may not actually be a guarantor of virginity, but plenty of people in modern times and throughout history fervently believe it is. They could also be saying that her knowing what sex was at all was proof.

I think my son had the same trauma experience. I was watching it with him when he was about 3 or 4 and I had no idea it would start off so dark. Felt like a horrible dad - he was devastated when the raccoon looked up with those sad little eyes and then fell! 😮

Ouda is my favorite part.  The glee on his face no matter how terrible the translation or situation 🤣🤣🤣
And always very helpful to Ace 😉
"Ouda! Throw me a spear!!!"

When Jim Carey sings Chitty Chitty Bang Bang song while driving. He forgot his lines and starts singing it. They kept filming the scene. The guy in the passenger seat was trying not to laugh if you watch that part. They kept the scene for the movie. I seen this movie when I was a kid. I couldn’t stop laughing in the film. It is just as good as the first. My favorite Jim Carrry film is The Majestic. It is more of a drama movie rather than a comedy. Such an amazing cast too
