I LOVE that you feature your new cyber deck so prominently in the talking-head portions of your recent video. I’m guessing you’re actually using it as a teleprompter or to support the slideshow. Too many makers just make and then ignore their creations. Clearly you do this for a purpose and I applaud that.

Now there is something that still pops up in discusion

When my father's laptop was broken beyond repair, he used my Raspberry Pi Model 3B v1.2 for years. But man, what the hell happened to 35$ SBC scene? Raspberry Pi5 4GB 160$, 8GB 269$...

Watching this from Orange Pi RV2!

It was SBCs that bought me to this channel. Many things that I take for granted today, like Virtual Machines, Linux, and NAS, I learned by watching your videos.

SBCs may have run their course as consumer devices but they definitely had a positive impact on the tech community by bringing a new wave of excitement and content.

Everyone deserves someone who talks about them as enthusiastically as this video talks about SBCs.

The aspect of this channel I have always liked the most is being introduced to new things I didn't know I could do, and then copying your examples and feeling a sense of accomplishment and learning growth. You are a great teacher and inspiration.

Like many others my interest in SBCs has declined significantly over the last few years for the reasons mentioned at 5:34 - 5:57. While I watch and greatly enjoy most uploads on this channel I must confess that the ones about SBCs have become an exception that I increasingly skip more often than not. That being said, I'm also thankful for the great source of information on this topic this channel has been over the years.

I always look forward to you posting calming and informative vids on Sunday, Chris.

Admittedly, I have not bought a RP since V4 was available. My wife and I have even gone away from mini computers. We used to use Asus PN models. Before that I also had a Asus VC65 (currently used to interact with our server), which replaced an Asus EEE box. In ancient times we used bigger boxes. Our first home computer was a Comodore Amiga 1000 followed by a 2000. The main challenge with mini computers was overheating. So, currently we have gone back to larger units, 37 litres in size, 32 GB RAM and 8 TB of storage. Both of us had our Acer Swift 3 laptops fail after about a year, so my wife has given up on these machines. I have an Asus Zenbook. We also have matching Zenphone 9s. Despite our age (76 and 77) we are adapting to using apps on our phones.

Your conclusions and predictions are very accurate, in my opinion. My own evolution as a hobbyist started with microcontrollers like the Uno, moved onto Raspberry Pi and other SBCs you have reviewed, and now a very powerful mini computer for about $250. Looking forward to trying RISC-V when it's more mature. Will always watch your videos every Sunday, regardless of what you discuss. Thank you, Chris!

I like the fact that you always try to provide us with clear prospect of the upcomming content on your channel and I would like to say thank you for all your efforts.
As I usually run sbcs as servers (DNS, NTP, etc) I also fancy ur choice to stick with lowcost sbcs as those are more than inough powerful to suit my needs.

Maybe more vids of pico projects?

A solid argument and call  for pragmatism and sanity, thank you for this video.  Indeed, what's the point of a $200 SBC when one can get a MiniPC for the same price..  I think you've touched on the "sweet spot" that many of us are looking for, in terms of cost, performance, specifications (e.g., RAM)  and form factor.
UPDATE: fixed spelling

The last two sections seem like the most unscripted, from-the-heart content from EC. Love to see your passion and enthusiasm come through. SBC videos are always interesting!

Show us some real-world applications / deployments of SBCs

You nailed the shift precisely: SBCs are no longer the lonely pioneers.

I enjoy your vids for their own sake, so....what to suggest? Anything!

I started following you because of the SBC videos.
However over the time there are plenty of topics your channel covered which brought a lot of value for me.
I encourage you to continue with lower cost SBCs as this is what is most interesting for the masses.
Other interesting/hot topics for your considerations:
- adding more OS reviews and tests. I am now so interested in Linux-based OSes.
- Chrome OS, Aluminium OS
- Third-party ROMs also for aging phones as Lineage OS and Graphene OS

Thank you for the great value you bring to our lives.

Sunday afternoon video, let's go been waiting for this.

Thanks for covering the death of an odd segment.
