1. I do not want a physical keyboard for a tablet. In part this is because the resultant form-factor would be far less practical when filming (for example, where I use the tablet between a PC screen and keyboard, as shown in the video). More fundamentally, the reason I got a tablet in the first place -- as discussed in the video -- was to type on a touchscreen to help with my RSI. Touchscreens offer close to zero force typing, and also slow typing speed a little, and so help considerably with RSI over time. I also travel a lot with the tablet, and want to keep the weight and bulk to a minimum.
2. Over many years I have tried a lot of Android onscreen keyboards. And I have now looked at a couple more following suggestions below! :) Sadly none of them provide what I am looking for. All are designed for phones. It is indeed very telling that not one of the keyboards that have been mentioned below is displayed for tablet use in the Play Store. Did I look at creating my own custom Android keyboard? No. Life is too short, and this really should not be necessary.
3. I am aware that larger (c.13") iPads have a much better onscreen keyboard. This has no bearing on anything in this video, where I am comparing Androids keyboards and the standard iPad keyboard. But it is very sad that Apple do not provide the option to use their much better keyboard on all iPads.
