Wish Ubisoft still wrote characters like this

I love how you treat this like a documentary of a real person.

“IN A WORLD WITHOUT GOLD WE MIGHT HAVE BEEN HEROES!!!” What a banger of a line to be your last words idk why but that quote sticks with me

Edward Kenway is my favorite protagonist of the franchise. He wanted so much but lost so much at the sametime. The ending to this game hits so hard with Anne singing "The Parting Glass" it made me tear up

For me, Edward's story is my favorite in the whole series because his story is about how he believes that fame, wealth and a reputation are what make a person a person of quality. He doesn't just want money for a good life; he wants it because he thinks it will make him a person worthwhile. This is something I, and hopefully a lot of other people, can relate to; wanting to be a person of quality and worthy. His journey in Black Flag is recognizing that it's in his actions and what he fights/lives for that defines his quality.  By the end, he chooses to do what feels is right and aid the Assassins by basically giving them the whole Caribbean, especially the Observatory. In doing so, he feels like he is a person of quality, even if history itself will forget him. That idea is one I latch on to and remember most of all; It is not what we have, but what we do the defines our quality, even if history buries us.

He gained the one thing he wanted but it came at such a great cost.
Mary Read, Edward Thatch, Charles Vane, Stede Bonnet, Jack Rackam and Ben Hornigold (I guess). Goodnight and Joy be with you all…..😔

Its the story of a man who went looking for fame and fortune, but after a hard and painful road, he found the greatest treasure of all... himself.

I think the theme of loss throughout the series isnt a topic thats explored as much as it should be, it remains a constant in just about every game

So cool how they incorporated all these real historical figures, events and locations into the story of the game so perfectly

A video on the 3 kenways would be sick

So excited for AC 4 resynced. Already ordered it

I give u my word sir. I will come back and watch this video Once I have finished resynched. I want that experience to feel fresh. But I also really want to watch this video.

I shall see you a few days after July 9th. Maybe a week if work got me down

Edit: alright, I have finished the game and as promised I have returned. Its so weird to see how the original game used to look after playing resynced

I can relate to Edward as far as being flawed

This and AC3 were the two games that I both was introduced to the series. And more so given the modern world, felt both the most personal in connection to.

I'm cautiously optimistic for the remake, but I'll never get tired of the Kenway stories.

And thank you Cynic for covering so many wonderful stories over these years. ❤

Edward and Bayek are my favorites

11:40 only just realised Caroline's VA has a similar voice to Lune from Expedition 33 🙏

Edward Kenway is a great Main character
His life is not good & till Mary death does he change to be a better person

If i remember right you can find Jack Rakham corpse in one of the cages in the jamaican prison. If you get close Edward would say a few things before continuing to his next objective

Here after starting Black Flag Resynced 🤘

A nice well done video of Edward Kenway. Looking forward to the next Assassin's Creed videos you will make.
