Fun fact about the werewolf sprint: You don't actually move that much faster! Turns out the original speed when designing the werewolf made the engine shit itself trying to render the world fast enough, so you actually barely move any faster than your normal human sprint and get tricked with special camera shaking. Same with Skyrim horses.

I remember playing as a khajiit and becoming a werewolf. People in the towns would mention hair growing out of my ears. I always thought "Yeah. I'm a cat." It took me a while to realize it was because I was a werewolf.

Tortie isn't touch starved, she's mirroring. She doesn't get the point of the activity of Green Screen, but wants to participate anyway bc her social group (Bizly) is doing it

A factor to consider is that you knew their werewolf secret. Other guild members outside the circle aren't supposed to. So making you part of secret werewolf club really just kinda fixes all problems for them.

The security truly is terrible in Whiterun that a bunch of bandits can waltz into the city and murder the leader of its most respected faction.

5:30 to be fair they probably recruit you into the inner circle cause you saw farkus turn into a werewolf and they don’t want you running off telling people the companions are werewolves so they’re like “hey, we’ll make you part of our inner circle so you shut up”

When they introduced werewolves in Elder Scrolls 3, you did not control the transformations.

You transformed every night.

And for every hour that passed until you killed an NPC and "fed" that night, you would wake up with lost health.

It was insanely overpowered but also very debilitating at the same time.

At 5:55 you say this is the worst skyrim gets, but you should check out the thieves guild starter quests. You can fail them back to back to back, get yelled at for failing all those things, then STILL get assigned to high risk/important missions as if you were their star pupil, despite being a failure from the moment you arrived

The animation for the werewolf running is so good that it's almost good enough to make you forget how bad the walking animation is

honestly really feels like there should be a silver hand path and they shouldnt just be bandits that also kill werewolves, imagine if you reject skjors offer in the underforge intitially and then a few hours later the courier gives you a letter from the silver hand themselves saying essentially "we hope this got to you before they did, lycanthropy is not what the companions say it is, come to blah blah fort so you can help us kill them"

I always try to use the first transformation to find and eat Nazeem, It feels lore friendly to me

12:25 "Are you evil right now? Are you evil? Oh, you're nice. I can never tell." That's such a cat owner moment

I still love how Kodlak wants to break the curse of the beast to avoid going to the Hunting Grounds where you feast, fight, and die again and again in Hircine's Wild Hunt, so he can go to Sovngard... a  place where you feast, fight, and die again and again.

A neat detail: When you finish the game and have cured Kodlak of the curse he will sit in the halls in Sovngarde. Really cool.

Unfortunately, knowing the general vibes of Hircine and his missions, it is absolutely on brand that he'd order a constant war-like state of existence among his creations. His plane is literally The Hunting Grounds, where there is nothing but eternal hunting. In Morrowind during the Bloodmoon DLC, you beat it by defeating an aspect of Hircine. Hircine is a Daedric Prince after all, there's a reason why many consider him evil.

21:35 This is really the problem with all of the guilds in Skyrim, they make you the leader so fast and you can be the leader of all of them simultaneously.

"werewolves in skyrim? never played but that sound interesting"
"oh they sent a guy named Farkas (wolf in hungarian) with you on the werewolf quest? haha that's fun, maybe he's a werewolf himself"
"oh." 4:15

14:00 Hircine's Hunting Grounds aren't hunting hell, they're hunting heaven. You GET to hunt all you want there. Kodlak is a nord warrior though, not a hunter, so he wants to go to nord warrior heaven, Sovngarde.

Glad that someone else called out how the Companions walk around thinking they're noble warriors and hunters when in reality they're literally thugs for hire.
