The most unrealistic thing about this is that Alex still fears death.

Okay so to explain the video’s intro the ongoing joke is bird kidnaps a guy named Alex. It’s meant to be dark humor

I like that Bluejay has a story going on, and nobody's figured it out yet. But watch his videos back to back, and you'll remember all about Alex and his other victims.

The oldest known joke in human history dates back the the Sumerians and is roughly translated as "a woman that has never farted upon her husband's lap, a thing that has never existed". So the oldest known joke is a fart and sex joke. Classic.

14:13 Funny enough one of the main reasons Nikita Khrushchev had as high a position that he did in the Soviet Bureaucracy. Was because Stalin found him funny and kept him around.

If you're asking if you need to be high for the video then blue jay did a great job

i think some Court Jester's also doubled as Spymaster, which would honestly make sense, even has a Court Jester, the entire job focuses on knowing what type of entertainment or joke your audience  would like, or even knowing something to use as an insult later..

35:27 A road roller

11:45 Be around heads of state to be funny and make the president laugh? You know what, let's open this can of worms. Elon Musk before they broke up

Here's a relevant passage for what Jing Xinmo's second joke was. Bear in mind, "Jing Xinmo" literally translates to "Newly Polished Mirror"

…[The Emperor] drew his bow, aimed his arrow and was about to shoot him.  Newly Polished Mirror shouted urgently, `Don’t kill me Your Majesty, we are of the same mettle you and I and it would be unpropitious for you to kill me!’  The emperor was astonished and asked him what he meant, so he answered, `When you founded your dynasty, you changed the reign title to Unifying Splendour [Tong Guang] and all under heaven called Your Majesty the Emperor of Unifying Splendour.  `Unifying’ [tong] equals `bronze mirror’ [tong].  If you kill Newly Polished Mirror, the bronze mirror [tong] will lose its shine [guang]!’  The emperor burst out laughing, and forgave him."

It's a pun.

11:58 Khrushchev was Stalin's unofficial personal full time Jester and Stand-Up comedian until his death in 1953.

Imagine a stand-up comedian like Bill Burr as Press Secretary 😂

My understanding was the Jester had a big role. At least in England, to distract a vengeful King. Australia had a character Norman Gunston.  A comedian in character would crash serious events to bring the political nonsense back a step or three.

Modern day jestery (at least one example that came to my mind) would be a Stand-Up Comedian at the White House Press Gala Dinner thingy.

Speaking of Jesters, Puppet History has a fantastic episode about the jester Archibald Armstrong, who went from being a sheep thief to an incredibly influential member of court.

Not to mention, military humor has been constant for centuries. There's roman art of phallic appendages on walls where Roman soldiers were hanging around like in bathrooms and barracks. If you've ever served on a deployment or in general you know the old port a potty wall art is exactly the same

I'm here for a Mr. Terry stoned reaction to a Bluejay video.

@3:30 im laughing.... so maybe 😂🎉

According to "History of the World, Part 1", the Roman Empire had The Stand-Up Philosopher.
