Nobody ever talks about this line from Tom Sizemore in Black Hawk Down, but my son and I often say "Nothin' takes five minutes!" to each other. It's a pretty good and true line: any time you think something will take five minutes, it always takes a lot longer than five minutes.

Watching clips of Apocalypse Now makes you realize how bad movies are now. It was so good.

Tom Sizemore is freaking good at being Tom Sizemore in every movie. He's rarely the lead, he's the kickass right hand man. It was sad what happened to him but when he was on, he was in the zone.

It's crazy how Black Hawk Down and Saving Private Ryan had so many lesser known actors in them at the time that have turned out to be massive stars. It's like anyone who has even one line in those movies is a big star now.

One day, James Whale Bake Sale needs to just drop 10 hour video of stylized cuts of QT’s laughing, repeated phrases, oddness, belligerent statements, etc. without reference to any movies. He is one of the true original personalities in Hollywood history and James Whale Bake Sale pumps up his portrayal to 11!!!

Sizemore rules in Black Hawk, Heat, Saving Private Ryan and True Romance. He's the living embodiment of "The action is the juice"! Oh and is but part in Point Break was cool too. Damn, the made real movies in the 90s

Sorry QT, they weren’t “Air Force helicopter guys” in Black Hawk Down. They were Nightstalker’s in the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (ABN) “Nightstalker’s Don’t Quit”

It's funny he said that about sizemore. He was my favorite in the whole movie. He was just walking around like bullets and shrapnel weren't flying everywhere

I'm glad he chose Black Hawk Down. I agree with Quentin's opinion. When I saw it the first time it was intense and tragic. When I watched it the 2nd time it was heartbreaking. I'd classify it as a 10/10 movie. It's so painfully realistic that it puts you there with the soldiers.

The "Battle For the Bridge" sequence in Ryan is, without question, the most intense and urgent filmmaking I have ever seen. The way Spielberg keeps you perfectly situated in time and place amidst the chaos of battle is simply extraordinary. No other director--living or dead--could have done it. He is almost certainly the most inherently gifted director of the past 60 years. Buster Keaton is one of the few I would put--overall--in his league, though Buster was obviously earlier than Spielberg.
