For stretch percentage, I always just take 10in and stretch it, because if it ends up at 14 its got 40% stretch! 17.5 and its got 75% stretch! I like to make it easy on my non-math brain :)

You should include that sewing machine cleaning every time it comes up, because it'll also remind the rest of us to clean our dang machines lol

its just so cute and a little sad for myself that some 'random strangers' on the internet do a better job in keeping track of another random persons sewing machine cleaning schedule than I do with my actual important stuff :,)

Edit: coffee in chocolate cake? Now I wanna bake too!

Tip for binding: measure the length of the seam you are binding, and cut your binding strip so that when stretched it is that length. I don’t even add seam allowance, it’s usually in the right ballpark if you do this. That way it accounts for the unique stretch % of the fabric and no math!

You:  I’m 60 inches …
Me:  Me too!  Shorties!
You: …to my shoulder.
Me:😭

I used to think that you need a specific type of fabric to make certain clothes, but if anything your channel has taught me that there's way more freedom in garment crafting than I ever realized.
Thank you for opening my eyes!

not only do i love ur videos all the time i also love that you put proper subtitles too instead of auto generated. things like the outro tidbits and the "[crazed laughter]" really put personality and help convey what i miss with my poor hearing and audio processing (somewhat hard of hearing. mostly poor processing. cant hear without my subtitles). its just Very Nice to have some good accessibility with pizzazz <333

14:50 Ughhhhhh I should have cleaned my machine when you first asked us to remind you.  Now I should REALLY clean my machine

Today I'm watching not from a train but from a hospital (don't worry, I'm fine). I'm not thrilled about my surroundings, but I am thrilled that I have a new The Stitchery video to watch!

Honestly, the crotch curve is the hardest part of the pant block. Youve got it down!

I love jumpsuits. Somehow they make it look like you made effort with your outfit, when all you did was chuck on one piece of clothing. Very chronic illness friendly for me

Puppy beside thrive market was the most effective advertising ever. Also your solid colour overalls. ... they really make me want to attempt sewing again. Heck.

3:22 As someone who lives in a place that is hot most of the year, I absolutely say "long pants" when I want to specify long pants.

I do admire your ability to just measure the fabric and cut it without perfecting (or even making) the pattern first. Kudos, truly.

I love the fabric fort that significant other made with the fabric out of the dryer. That’s incredibly sweet!

Charlie, maybe you could bake with us on your other channel? I think that would be loads of fun 👍

The stripes and snakes/red ones are very cute, but that solid burgundy one is just breathtakingly gorgeous!

"while I sip coffee and psych myself up for this" is how I approach every craft project and is a mood.

Floor length pants are usually called full length, as opposed to cropped (7/8) and capris (3/4), at least here in Germany.
