In this tasty adventure, I'll be visiting four of Torquay's most popular fish and chip shops:

📍 Great British Fish and Chips
📍 Seabank Fish and Chips
📍 Saltwater
📍 Harbour Fish and Chips

At each stop I'll be ordering traditional cod and chips, along with mushy peas and curry sauce, before giving each meal my own score out of 5. I'll also compare my scores with each shop's Google review ratings to see if they really live up to their reputation!

But that's not all... every shop has a mystery item that I'll be trying as well, adding an extra surprise to the challenge. Which one will be the biggest winner... and which one might disappoint?

Along the way you'll enjoy the spectacular scenery of Torquay Harbour, one of the most beautiful seaside locations on the South Devon Coast, as well as the golden sands of Torre Abbey Sands and the picturesque Torre Abbey Meadows. Watcombe chippy its off the beaten track. But everything is right. As a local these are expense grockle shops.

Next time, head towards Paignton and you come to Preston where there is the London Fryer which is consistently good.

That used to be a 100 percent great restaurant..pier point

Great British fish and chips on Torquay harbour and ocean wild fish a chips in Preston, Paington are the 2 best I’ve found. Been going for years and years and never had an issue.

Good report but the buzz with locals is The Great British fish shop is top for all the locals tourists go to Peirpoint and take out a mortgage for fish and chips. 😮

Another great video and glad you set it as around the harbour or you'd have so many to visit. Yes these are for the grockels and that leads to another video to check the locals chippies out lol. My shout for that is Crispins in Chelston, our local for 18yrs and love it. Cheers

Good and balanced reviews ..but I love the takeaway kiosk by the PrincessTheatre overlooking the Marina...part of PierPoint's fish restaurant.

Good vlog Daz, we enjoyed Saltwater but found it expensive. The best for us is Pierpoint, lovely fish and chips and friendly staff😊

Daz try watcombe chippy. Young lad who runs it and for portion size and price qnd varied menu cant beat their food. Try it and do a vlog

Hats off to you Daz love your jaunts round Torquay, you tend to show it off beautifully. Particularly love the harbour area, Meadfoot, Ilsham, but so many beautiful areas round the Bay. So much interesting history to the place and amazing architecture in particular the Italinate style. Alas the ugly Brutalism of 1960s+ developers and incompetent local politicians did their best to flatten our Victorian legacy. Thankfully though there's still plenty of beautiful period architecture in the area. Re food reviews, I think you've cornered the market in the "entertainingly rank amateur" genre. To say your scoring was on the generous side would be a gross understatement🤣in fact that batter & chips (masquerading as fish & chips) re Seabank was so dreadful even my dog would turn that down. But it's entertaining. Talking of dogs I could see you biting into a battered dog turd, turning to the camera and saying; " actually that's quite nice, Hmm yeah, that's alright that is...4.5..." 😉 Keep up the good work Daz 👍
