21:43 the season really stepped up the music-game. Murray Gold has some real masterpieces

Wishing a speedy recovery … you needed more than a comfort show, you needed the Doctor!

This is a nice episode with some good creepy moments, I really liked the one on one conversation with the Doctor and Martha at the end as it was becoming a painfully important that the conversation needed to happen

The creatures in this story are actually a classic who monster from a "Second Doctor" story "The Macra Terror"

A blast from the past,,,,,,, The Macra return from the 60's😄

So many good things in this episode - the return of Novice Hame and the Face of Boe, Ardal O'Hanlon as Brannigan, the kittens (I'm sure there is fanfic out there about them), all the different characters in the cars, giant killer crabs, the Doctor getting angry and Martha forcing him to talk at the end, and of course the serious plot twists in what could have been a fairly gimmicky episode but wasn't. I hope you feel better soon, JP. In the meantime, thank you for another Dr Who Friday - it's always a great way to start the weekend.

With Rose we were hopping around space and time for series 1 and 2, with spaces for off screen adventures to be squeezed in between. Whereas with Martha, she’s really been thrown in as for her, episode 1, 2, 3 and then 4 are all back to back. She hasn’t had any breathing room just straight from one piece of action to the next. You can see she’s still in the same clothes as episode 1

Murray Gold for the win, yet again!

And Ardal O’Hanlon. Excellent.

Russell T Davies is a self-declared atheist, and this episode is very much about understanding the importance of religion in people's lives while at the same time critiquing it.

I've seen this episode multiple times and never once made the "American Gothic" connection with that couple, and now I can't unsee it :)  Thank you for pointing that out.

One of my absolute favourites from the "new" series, an incredibly clever and multi-layered story.

One of the best episodes.

2:27 Yes, but "American Gothic" portrays a farmer and his spinster daughter.

One of my favorite episodes.  "You are not alone" still gives me chills.

Rewatching post-lockdown, the number of parallels is wild.

The Doctor has a duty of care, doesn't matter how long short good or bad the companions are .

A tale of hope, community, and redemption.
One of my all time favourite episodes.

No one ever expects... Space Crabs.

Oh you're gonna love this season so much
