Hello friends, thanks for tuning in and welcome to a brand new caravan vlog!

This week we're at the BEST place to stay for visiting Bruges in Belgium, Camping Memling! If you're considering visiting this gorgeous historic city in your Caravan, Camper, Motorhome or Tent, this is the play to stay.

Walkable to the city centre but even quicker on a bike via the awesome cycle lanes, this is the idea location. Site site itself if great, really nice laid back vibe with modern facilities. But it's popular so be sure to book ahead.

We have a detailed video of our visit to Bruges coming soon so make sure you're subscribed so you don't miss a thing.

We really hope you enjoy this video, please do leave us a comment, we love reading them and try to reply to as many as possible. Don't forget to check out our other caravan vlogs for more of our adventures and site tours!

Thanks for watching

All the best
Mac & Sarah

We stopped over in Brugge with our two dogs when we had to drive back from Czech Republic during covid, no flights to take dogs out after hubbys job came to an end. It was so lovely to explore the walled city. Brought back memories, thank you.
We are taking our caravan over to France next year, first time on a ferry with it ! Can’t wait!

Another great video, the detail you produce in a 16min vlogg, is amazing 👏 🤩

Fab video guys and a great “teaser” of your Bruges specific video 😉. I’ve visited Bruges a few times over the years with my late wife and the last time was a few years ago as the conclusion to a Charity Bike ride through Holland & Belgium. As you experienced, as a cyclist Holland and Belgium are a revelation - you don’t feel hated and persecuted by other road users like in the UK. How cool was that underground bike park. Thanks for igniting some lovely memories of my experiences of wonderful Bruges ❤

Another great vlog. We've been to Bruge a couple of times, but not camping. We have enjoyed delicious meals at the tables you overlooked whilst having your beer on the balcony!
Just a couple of observations;
1. Looks like a 10 metre hook up cable would be useful instead of all that 25m cable lying around when close to the EHU bollard. Make sure the wire cross section is 2.5mm².
2. Don't leave the cycle helmets in the van. It may feel safe, but it only takes one slippery cobblestone or a momentary lapse of concentration by you or someone else to end up with a devastating bone fracture - your skull. You avoided self-inflicted broken bones on the assault course. Best to avoid them from the hands of others on the roads!

That is definitely on my list of places to go sometime!

We are booked here for 27th December for 5 nights to take our daughter to the Christmas markets. Little bit excited!

Oh, I forgot something. You can also visit the small village of Damme. You can bike over there. It's a 5 Kms bike ride. You can also take a boat trip with "de Lamme Goedzak". You can find the boat at tehe beginning of the canal that leads to Damme. Damme is famous as a book-villages and has many good restaurants. And if you're in the mood for it, you can bike some small distance further and visit the white village of Oostkerke.

Another fabulous video guys! We love watching your adventures and have enjoyed sites you've previously recommended (we loved summer ponds, so thanks for the video on that).

Now we're feeling we want to do Bruges as that campsite looks fab and in a great location. Quick question if you have a moment... did you notice any fat tyre bikes being ridden? We have them, but looking at the bike park you stored yours in,it looks like they only accommodate regular tyre bikes so just wondering what we would do with ours.

Love that the campsite is only a 20 minute ride! Very much looking forward to your future content - thank you!!

We visited Brugge back in July during high season. Looked at Memling but found it a little expensive. We stayed at Camping Klein Strand in Jabbeke about 10 or 12 miles outside of Brugge which was considerably cheaper. Obviously no good if you're cycling into the city unless you're up for a long pedal.
Keep the vids coming guys.
