This week is the sixth and final part of our summer 2025 campervan tour of Europe, we stay in Belgium yet are only an hour from Calais! Have we found the perfect stop over on route to the channel crossing, perhaps another "hidden gem"?

Join us as we explore the most excellent seaside town of Bredene with a beautiful white sandy beach, lovely traffic free cycle routes and wonderful campsites lined up ready to provide a great holiday destination or just the perfect stop over on your way to and from Calais.

Absolutely wonderful place to live, we have some English expats living over here!
But especially from September to June, it's amazing,and surreal beaches and dunes pretty much all for yourself, while Ostend is just across and crowded all year trough, this lovely natural peace of heaven on earth is abandoned 10 months a year?, truly a Pearl for people who like peace and quiet and nature walks.

As pronounced by local bree den er. We have been visiting Bredene for some 20 years and Belgium in general for 45 years. We love that country. You will have to go back for longer stay, lots to see and do

Yes really enjoyed this series gives us lots of food for thought for future trips away😊 big up to you for the mileage you do on the clown bikes really don't think we'll be up to doing over 38km on ours😅 be interesting to watch the cost breakdown as we're not sure if it's better to do a ferry or the euro tunnel to get into Europe 🤔 thanks again for taking us along see you on the next one 👍

We've stayed at De Panne at the other end a couple of times. We got day passes for the tram, you can work up and down the coast just getting on and off when you want. Great stop just before a return to UK via Dunkerque

I have traveled around Europe a lot and I am finished with northern Europe. 1. It's expensive. 2. Generally narcissistic rather than friendly. 3. Unreliable weather. 4. Busy. 5. Not very nice. 6. Wide spread snobbery. 7. Shitty food. Just a rip off.

Maybe the reason northern Europeans head south. My worst ever campsite was in Belgium, expensive and only 2 minutes allowed in the shower. Unbelievable rip off.
