will never be sick of this song

gay denial, knight’s armor, swords, fire and smoke, 80s influenced instrumental… holy shit

roan of arc💋

She s sounds great live! ❤

the fact that this could be a music video from the production value and it's a live performance...insane

mike wheeler having a mental breakdown when he sees chappel perform good luck babe in full paladin armor

Please I need people to give her the credit. This is very first award performance and she did THAT! Some mfs have 10+ years in the industry and haven’t been able to put out a performance like that. And she did that in her very first award performance.

choosing to do this in the ORIGINAL KEY wearing that many layers (even stripped down for performance, you can see how much shes sweating) with so much fire and smoke going on in the background is ACTUALLY insane. like yeah, of course you can hear her struggling a bit in the beginning with the parts she can get away with leaving to the backing track--who would actually be able to pull off a performance like this with a live vocal alone?--but the BRIDGE?! shes not human. thats wild.

The only artist who didn’t post “did i just make the song of the year” actually made the song of the year

no but the idea of staging this as a battle as she sings about her battle to be loved and seen is crazy iconic

This is what award performances are for. Not just the artist singing the song with some pretty lights and a guitar. Award shows are the places to go all out. She took us to a whole other world, amazing choreography, beautiful setting. She had fun and it shows, and that’s why this performance is so memorable.

imagine mike just recovering from the song and seeing her in a knight armor singing this song.

2:49 makes me feel like Chappell Roan would do really good rendition of Running Up That Hill by Kate Bush

Chappell is from a whole different era.  She is giving 90’s and 80’s vibes.  Her voice is amazing.  Her style is nostalgic as hell.  I pray she does something special over the next few years, and doesn’t let the pressure get to her.  We need to protect her at all cost.  The music industry needs her.

The Mike Wheeler comments are killing me😭✌🏻

Imagine Mike watch this video in the next 30 year

From a production viewpoint, this is a masterpiece. From a choreography and stunt viewpoint, this must have been a nightmare, but it went off so perfectly. Everyone involved in making this physically happen should be proud AF for pulling this off. Words cannot adequately describe how beautiful this is for so many reasons.

This is the most metal pop performance I've ever seen

The amount of creativity she has will never fail to amaze me, she ATE with this performance

Dear Michael Wheeler, welcome to the worst crash out of your life in your 50's.
