Biggest talent in weightlifting, just let the man smoke the weed, he should be able to do what he wants after winning gold...

One of my favorites. Sad story.

in my opinion, the biggest case of "could have been the GOAT"

Tuff vid bro keep it up

this was a great video dude.  Loved it

I think either from a ATG blogpost or a WH video, Andrei mentioned a lot of his childhood friends died on the streets, and he would have been the same if not for weightlifting.

❤❤❤

Fantastic video, well done

Aramnauv was an absolute unit. 200/236 at the olympics and he def looked like he had more in the tank.

Great documentary.
Makes me sad to hear how the weightlifting establishment hurt his career so much. With Ilya it was similar (although he seems to be in a better place).
Those two are the most talented lifters ever, and they would have deserved much more success.
Porfessional wightlifting can be very cruel.

good video its sad he kept getting charged with weed

based touhou enjoyer

2008 andrei just had one of those days 6 for 6 and 3 world records was gutted about Beijing as my fav chigichev lost to a steiner miracle lift

He did not have an extra pinky. He had an extra thumb. But otherwise your information is accurate

SIMPLE  : 2008 OLYMPICS HE GOT ALL 3 WORLD RECORDS 😮YES ?

Nobody is gonna point out he said he was born in 1998? Lol intentional rage bait?

Edit: the freakiest thing ever to me is how high Aramnau got that 236 to pop off his shoulders standing it up from the clean right before he jerks it. Unbelievable powerhouse of a man

Average looking guy..but my oh my 😮 technique + timing + focus = exceptional lifter 🏋️‍♂️

0:37 Quasi-serious question, can you really speak of a working class family If someone was born in the USSR? Isn't everyone there (at least meant to be) the proletariat that's united and therefore working class? Also you said 1998 instead of 1988.
