This movie aged like a fine wine.
Horses, cats and dogs can learn to open doors just by watching people doing it. We'll never know if raptors were smart enough to have problem-solving intelligence but hey, that's Hollywood magic!

The grandfather yelled "Grant!" over the phone.

Nedry's death in the book was way more terrifying than in the movie. Also, Hammond was real asshole, too. Kurt Russell successfully auditioned to play Grant, but was rejected by the studio after he asked for too much money.

1:22:24 He screamed "GRAAANT!", his name.

The kitchen scene with the kids and the raptors was filmed on the boy's 10th birthday. That's a birthday he won't forget. 🤣🤣

T.Rex vision being based on movement was a theory from the 90's which has since lost consensus and it is believed it had good enough vision to make out stationary things.

Dilophosaurus is a real dinosaur, but the venom spitting was added in the novel and the frill was added in the film. Also, this film is considered science fiction with horror elements mixed in. My favorite scene in the film depicts the science fiction aspect incredibly well: the lunch scene when Jeff Goldblum's character says, "Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could that they didn't stop to think if they should." Michael Crichton, the author of Jurassic Park, was way ahead of his time and we're now heading down a dangerous path with AI as well.

When this came out I saw it 6 times in theaters as a kid in 1993. That's how epic it was. When CGI was new and blended beautifully with practical effects. Not completely depended on as it is now. To think Spielberg was making this and Schindler's List at the same time, now THAT'S Chaos. I will never forget feeling the steps of the T-Rex as the water ripples with everyone around me...One of the greatest cinematic experiences in history. Seriously.

I was in high school in the summer of 1993 in-between my freshman and sophomore year. I was working at McDonald's. McDonald's had a special promotion for this movie a triple cheeseburger super sized meal with special collectors soda cups. It is the only time I have ever known McDonald's to have a triple cheeseburger until recently when they added to the menu again. Also back in the mid 1990s is when home theater audio was starting 5.1 surround sound to get 5.1 surround sound you had to have a HiFi VCR like JVC. My system was Onkyo Integra separates and Infinity RS line speakers and one MTX 15"  powered subwoofer. MTX made really good car audio back in the late 1980s and 1990s. MTX was just getting into the home audio market back in the mid 1990s.

18:39 omg my employee is such an alarmist about raptors, oh am geee, am i rite?.... That grandpa does not deserve the brave man working for him.

disk:
nobody gonna believe tim when he tells the class what he did on summer break.

If you're ever intrigued, the best-preserved dinosaur, was recovered from the Fort McMurray Oil Sands in Alberta. The team from Royal Tyrrell Museum and the mining crew were able to salvage the front half.

110 million year old Nodosaur.

I started watching y’all for Friends and now I’m so glad y’all are doing one of my favourite movie franchises as well! Quickly becoming my fave new channel. 😂

I got to see this when I was 7 when it came out at a drive in theatre. Unforgettable.

7:30 I thought that was the coolest shaving cream can ever. My fav part was when the guy squeals.

Paleontologists, not archaeologists: Paleontologists study extinct animals. Archeologists collect and study the physical evidence of past cultures and events.

36:55 the trex arms 😂

The one Muldoon was referring to was the raptor that also killed the gate keeper at the start of the movie.

Jeff Goldblum Jurassic Park: "Must go faster..." 🦖
Jeff Goldblum Independence Day: "MUST go FASTER! 👽

Love it he can't win 😂
