Is anyone else convinced PL is actually a Gen X woman trapped in a Gen Z body? I so appreciate his correct opinions 😂

PL is out here suggesting consumers critically think. Gasp. The brands don’t want you to critically think or think over decisions because you might take that fragrance money and put it into your 401k or IRA instead.

To be fair, this is a sadly needed PSA in this space. I see comments or posts of someone buying fragrance or makeup in installment payments because they were worried it would sell out. meanwhile they may lack an emergency fund if their car breaks down or they get hit by a car and can’t work for months. 😬

It frustrates me so much to see this influencers promoting every single fragance
This shit is so expensive, not every single thing is worth the money

It drives me nuts when someone does a review after spraying a perfume on paper. If you didn’t do a skin test, I don’t wanna hear it.

I love travel sizes, samples, and especially decants. It gives me a wide variety to choose from without a lot of actual product.

99.9% of people cant tell the difference between a clone or a original. Wear what you want and buy what you want.

Re: over spraying, if I get a compliment on a fragrance in any context , my initial reaction is usually to panic a bit because it’s like “thank you but I’m so sorry if it’s too strong and I’m being rude!!!!”

I'm so glad you are not like other influencers! ❤

Good point on perfume not being entirely subjective. Claire Smith has a great video on selective anosmia on her channel and how genetically our olfactory perceptions can be different. However, there is objective facts like the materials used, classifications of perfumes, and structuring of fragrances. One is incorrect if they call every fragrance with vanilla a gourmand just as they would be calling every fragrance with oakmoss a fougère or chypre.
