Nikon lets Tamron in the Z-mount, but Sigma not as Sigma is a challenge for Nikon pricing as the have substitute lenses for lower costs.
I’m a happy user of the original R8 (and R6-3). With stabilized lenses I don’t actually care about IBIS and hate it on wide video. But having IBIS makes the 28, 45, and 50mm budget lenses much more usable.
The original R8 and the R6-2 are definitely alternatives to consider for value.
NOT getting one ....... looking for a good fun / teaching camera of the exposure triangle with dial on top.
i hope the R7 mark 2 is still going to be a APS-C version of the R5 Mark 2. WITH A BATTERY GRIP!!!
Most people under the age of 40 won’t even notice it - it will get dismissed as just another big, black, boring box.
lens and a flash it be a good bridge camera!
