Original Video: Falling In Reverse - "Last Resort (Reimagi...
In this first-time reaction, musician and sound engineer Alan dives into Falling Revers's re-imagining of Papa Roach's "Last Resort." He's immediately struck by the clever piano arrangement replacing the iconic guitar riff, noting how it completely shifts the song's emotional core. Alan is particularly moved by how the new musical context highlights the depth and sadness of the lyrics, even drawing unexpected parallels to Aerosmith. This reaction offers a unique perspective on how instrumental choices can profoundly alter a song's impact and meaning.💜

I saw someone say that Papa Roach's version was "us as teenagers, mad at the world. Now Ronnie's version is us as broken adults..."

@letswatchtherain 5 months ago

Papa Roach is angry and Ronnies version is what its like when the rage has run out and all you're left with is the pain.

My reaction was the EXACT SAME. I had never realized how deep the message really was. I have cried, screamed, sang, and just pondered this song thousands of times.

There is a wholesome video of Ronnie nervously showing this to Jacoby for "aproval". Not gonna spoil it.

OMG... the isolated vocal is PAINFULL to listen to... 🫂

It is not just a song, it is a scream for help straight through the heart. Beautiful.

Ronnie has a way of singing emotions that kick you right in the feels.

This version of this song is that scream you hold inside and you can't find a way to voice that you need help. The words never come out and you feel like you're drowning in emotions you don't even know how to describe.

I heard someone explain it this way and it really stuck with me. Papa Roach's version is like the beginning of depression when youre young- anger, rebellion, being tired of living. Ronnies is full blown grown adult depression- deep sadness, regret and finally acceptance

Have heard this song a lot but not with the isolated voice.
WOW, that one hit hard

I love it when someone takes an old song and redoes it in a different way. It's like I'm hearing the song for the first time.

This video shows what its like to be lost and alone as your world crumbles down around you.

The lyrics are why we all loved the original song when it came out. The lyrics and the desperate, angry cry behind them. We felt them. This cover absolutely takes those same lyrics and spins them into another type of cry that hits us just as hard.

I’ve listened to this song a billion times and loved it and it’s emotion BUT this is the first time I’ve heard it since losing my brother to suicide Jan 31st and it definitely hits different now Stay strong everyone and please seek help, tomorrow is another day

This is a masterpiece

It is an absolute beauty hearing him sing this. Papa roach heard the recording before Ronnie did it and he was BLOWN AWAY ❤❤❤

Alan, you know I’m usually here for REN but as soon as I saw this thumbnail I clicked straight away. Partly because I knew this might be hard for you. I wanted to be here for support. I’ve cried so many times listening to this. And listening to it again with you was no different.
You’re such an emotional, empathetic person something I truely love about you.
I’m not fine, I’m far from fine but I’m hanging in there, sometimes I feel it’s only music keeping me here. And you are 100% music.
Just saying, no pressure, you are loved.
With respect from Australia
